Just 5 more months to the Master Sake Sommelier (MSS) programme happening right here in sunny Singapore! 😎

As part of the countdown series, we spoke with the OG, the one and only Sean Ou! Other than taking on the role of Principal Trainer here at The Beverage Clique, he was also a first-batch graduate from the MSS programme!

"Gaining my MSS certification definitely opened a lot of doors for me to start working with Japanese Sake breweries and gave me a more credible voice to promote Sake effectively."

Take your Sake education to the top level with the Master Sake Sommelier programme from Sake Sommelier Academy. 🍢

Thank God Its Wineday 🍷 and you wouldn't want to miss this one!

Beaujolais Noveau Day is celebrated at the end of harvest season where it is a race to get France's most famous 'primeur' (young wine that is produced fast) onto shelves just after 6-8 weeks after harvest! πŸ‡

Curious to what it tastes like? It usually has very bright, fresh, red fruit flavours, such as cherry, strawberry, and raspberry, and will be delivered to your palate with a distinct zing. ⚑️

Just 4 more months to the Master Sake Sommelier (MSS) programme happening right here in sunny Singapore!

As we continue our countdown series, we got to speak with another MSS Alumni, Danny Leong from The Sake Place!
He took up the MSS programme initially because "My guiding principle in learning is, 'With better knowledge comes greater enjoyment!'. Never ever think we know everything there is to know as we will just stagnate in life."

Having gone through the MSS programme, he has learnt to handle the time constraints when evaluating multiple sakes without compromising on the factual review and trusting his own sensory perception without knowing what sakes he is evaluating, a trait he continues to impart to his students of the SSA courses.

The Beverage Clique congratulates our Principal Sean Ou and Associate Trainer Kanako as the first two professional Sake educators in Singapore and Southeast Asia to be certified by Sake Service Institute (SSI) Japan as International Official Lecturers!

The Beverage Clique has always placed lifelong learning as a priority not just for our learners, but also for our own trainers.

This certification amongst many others further cements our commitment to being the choice learning institute for Sake and other beverage categories to all our learners in Singapore and beyond.

We will like to take this opportunity to convey our appreciation with our network of partners who have placed their faith in us and our business.

We will continue to bring onboard and collaborate with even more organisations to provide professional Sake education and meaningful engagements to our SEA audiences, elevating the love of Sake regionally to greater heights!

We are close to the final stretch with only 2 months before the Master Sake Sommelier (MSS) programme is set to happen!

We got to catch up with another MSS Alumni, Philipp Reinstaller from Trivet in London!
"Sake was always something new to me and I didn’t know much about it until I did my Introductory Sake Sommelier course in Austria. That’s when I really got interested and wanted to learn more and it grew into a passion."

As he picked up more Sake knowledge from the MSS education, it helped broaden his spectrum of being able to elevate food and drinks pairing. He is now able to share his knowledge with his colleagues and help them understand it.

Challenge your love and knowledge of sake and get certified as a Master Sake Sommelier this coming March! Check out more details about the programme on
