As we continue our countdown series, we got to speak with another MSS Alumni, Danny Leong from The Sake Place!
He took up the MSS programme initially because "My guiding principle in learning is, 'With better knowledge comes greater enjoyment!'. Never ever think we know everything there is to know as we will just stagnate in life."

Having gone through the MSS programme, he has learnt to handle the time constraints when evaluating multiple sakes without compromising on the factual review and trusting his own sensory perception without knowing what sakes he is evaluating, a trait he continues to impart to his students of the SSA courses.

Time has past by so quickly this year and that we are yet again at the end of another year! While this year had its usual ups and downs for us, we were still delighted to welcome over 1000 students through our door and watched 80.6% of them graduate! πŸŽ“

We got to catch up with another MSS Alumni, Philipp Reinstaller from Trivet in London!
"Sake was always something new to me and I didn’t know much about it until I did my Introductory Sake Sommelier course in Austria. That’s when I really got interested and wanted to learn more and it grew into a passion."

As he picked up more Sake knowledge from the MSS education, it helped broaden his spectrum of being able to elevate food and drinks pairing. He is now able to share his knowledge with his colleagues and help them understand it.
