I just realised, I’ve made 100 videos on this channel. I would just like to thank all of you so so much for all your help and support during this time. There has been some negativity too, but largely you guys have been like my family in this tough journey. A huge, huge huge thank you for the trust you have placed in me, for the compliments you have given me and the suggestions you have given that have helped me grow.

Without this community, I would not be the same person I was 1 year back. I hope I have been able to contribute to your preparation as well.

Update on career counsellor :

Found 3 people, but most of them are people who give counselling to people who are 19 year olds. It’s very different for people who are 25 or older and have 3-4 gap years. It’s difficult to give good advice and there is little scope for error.

Still, I’ve spoken to some other people to find someone who is experienced and aware. Will take some time but I’ll do it.

Today, i felt an acute sense of FOMO after looking at instagram. I’m studying everyday (because of my courses) and almost everyone I know is partying/travelling/ having fun. It’s not their fault, they’ve earned this time through their hardwork. It just got me thinking that instagram and social media sites present a curated image of our lives, where we only talk about our achievements and none of our challenges.

To everyone reading this, know that I am with you. I know it’s difficult, you’re in a room by yourself and it seems like the world around you is having fun. However, the sweat and tears you spend now will bear fruit. Life is a constant struggle to improve oneself, to settle is to die. Like plato said, “only the dead have seen the end of war”.

Take this exact moment to rid your phones of social media apps on your phone. You need not look at curated images of success while you toil away. Keep working hard. We will do it. We will make it. All of us are in the same boat.
