A Florida man, 52-year-old Kamal Padlowski has been found guilty of first degree murder over the 2024 killing of 47-year-old Melvin Jimenez during an altercation.

The case stems from a May 24 incident during which the convicted man threw Melvin Jimenez into open water while he was unconscious.

The two men are reported to have met a bar before heading to Padlowski’s boat, which was about 10minutes away, where they continued drinking. However a misunderstanding ensued between them, prompting the convicted person to sack Jimenez.

Despite saying Jimenez threatened to rape and kill his fiancée while leaving, prosecutors held that CCTV footage showed Jimenez walking away and therefore he posed no threat in the moment.
