HACK@Padova. Si tratta di un coding contest orientato a trovare soluzioni di ottimizzazione. Gli studenti possono partecipare gratuitamente (tutto da remoto) e concorrono per un premio in denaro, visibilità da parte di, ad oggi, 3 aziende (Deloitte, QiBit e IBM) rilevanti per il nostro settore e la possibilità di accedere alle finali nazionali qualora si qualifichino nei primi tre posti del contest padovano. Il contest sarà il 19 maggio 2021 alle 9:30.

I wanted to let you know that we are hosting a virtual Quantitative Finance Algorithmic Challenge on Wednesday 11th August at 6PM (CEST) and we'd love for your Masters and PhD students from Mathematics, Statistics, Physics and Computer Science to join us online!

We hold your university in high regard and have various alumni that have gone on to achieve great things in our quantitative development departments.

Your students will be able to take part in an algorithmic trading game that will give them insight into the world of quantitative finance outside of the traditional company presentation. The event will be run by our Quantitative Researchers and Machine Learning Specialists, who will share their knowledge about the industry and how a mathematical skill set can be transferred into other areas outside of academia.

Abbiamo preferito lasciare libero l'incontro di martedì 14/12 per una piccola premiazione e per rispondere a eventuali feedback/lamentele da parte di chiunque.
NON è consentito navigare in internet cercando risorse o codici per risolvere i problemi. Sarà invece consentito avere degli appunti cartacei.
La sorveglianza sarà molto simile a quella di un esame a distanza: chiamata zoom con microfono e videocamera accesa + consegna finale di tutti i codici su moodle.
Dato che non dobbiamo prenotare aule saremo molto flessibili su data e orario di inizio, indicate le vostre disponibilità nel sondaggio sotto. Se per caso non si dovesse trovare un accordo la gara si terrà il 14/12/2021 alle 16:30 con durata e modalità invariate.
Vi ricordiamo che la gara sarà un fattore importante nel selezionare la seconda squadra e le riserve da mandare a SWERC.
