⏺ What the detainees in Al-Junaid Prison are being subjected to is a serious violation of all national and moral values

🔴Abdul Rahman Shadid, a leader in the Hamas movement, affirmed that the continued open-ended hunger strike by dozens of political detainees in Al-Junaid Prison, more than a year after their arrest, reflects the magnitude of the tragedy these free individuals are experiencing and reveals the extent of the injustice inflicted upon them as a result of arbitrary detention and the abuse by the security forces of the Authority.

🔴He stressed that the torture and deprivation of the most basic human rights suffered by the detainees constitutes a serious violation of all national and moral values, and calls for a serious stand to immediately end this suffering.

🔴Shadid held the leadership of the Authority fully responsible for the lives and safety of the detainees on hunger strike, considering their struggle a battle for dignity and freedom.

🔴He said: “As we are in the blessed month of Ramadan, we demand the immediate release of all political detainees and an end to the policy of detention based on opinion or affiliation, because the continuation of this approach deepens internal wounds and serves the enemies of our people and their cause.”

🔴The movement leader called on our people and the active forces in the West Bank to move urgently to support the detainees, and to escalate popular and media activities in solidarity with them, until they gain their freedom and their suffering ends.
