✅Recently, the 11th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) of INSPIRE– MANAK winners felicitation ceremony was held in New Delhi.

📍INSPIRE – MANAK Programme:

✅The INSPIRE – MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspiration and Knowledge) is one of the flagship schemes of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India.
✅It is for nurturing ideas and innovations of school students and motivates them to pursue science and a career in research.
✅It is jointly implemented by DST and the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) – India.
✅It aims to motivate students in the age group of 10-15 years and studying in classes 6 to 10 to become future innovators and critical thinkers.

🔆Exercise Eastern Bridge VII

The Indian Air Force (IAF) has successfully completed Exercise Eastern Bridge VII with the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO) at the RAFO airbase in Masirah.

Answer C: Operation Sadbhav

India recently launched 'Operation Sadbhav' to provide humanitarian assistance to Vietnam, Myanmar and Laos, hit by Typhoon Yagi. A powerful storm that has left hundreds dead in Southeast Asia. Under the operation, India provided assistance worth $1,00,000 Dollars each to Vietnam and Laos. A consignment of 35 tonnes of humanitarian assistance, including water purification items, water containers, blankets, kitchen utensils, and solar lanterns, among others, was airlifted to Vietnam by a special aircraft. In the last decade, India has proven to be the 'first responder' during any global crisis and emerged as 'Vishwa Bandhu'

🔆Goa Maritime Symposium 2024

✅The Indian Navy is hosting the fifth edition of the Goa Maritime Symposium at Naval War College, Goa.

✅It is a forum for fostering collaborative thinking, cooperation, and mutual understanding between India and key maritime nations of the Indian Ocean Region.

✅Theme: The theme for the event is Common Maritime Security Challenges in the Indian Ocean Region: Progressing Lines of Efforts to Mitigate Dynamic Threats such as illegal and unregulated fishing and other illegal maritime activities.

✅It will be participated by the representatives from 12 Indian Ocean Littoral countries- Bangladesh, Comoros, Indonesia, Madagascar, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Myanmar, Seychelles, Singapore, Sri Lanka and Thailand. Observers from Kenya and Tanzania

Project Akashteer

It is a cutting-edge initiative designed to automate air defense control and reporting processes by digitizing them.

It is developed by Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) as part of the 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiative.

It aims to deliver an unprecedented level of situational awareness and control for the force to ensure the safety of friendly aircraft and engage hostile aircraft in contested airspace.

It will enable monitoring of low level airspace over the battle areas of Indian Army and effectively control the Ground Based Air Defence Weapon Systems.

Sarang systems:

It is an advanced Electronic Support Measure system for helicopters of the Indian Navy.
It is designed and developed indigenously by Defence Electronics Research Laboratory, Hyderabad under the programme Samudrika.
