Radio Frequency Identification (RFID)
โ It is a technology that uses radio waves to automatically identify various tagged objects.
โ A wireless system comprised of two components - tags and readers.
โ Range -- 9 kHz - 300GHz ( read distance depends upon the frequency used ).
โ It does not require a direct line of sight to be read.
โ Data stored in an RFID tag can be updated in real time .

โ It is a printed series of parallel bars or lines of varying width used for entering data into a computer system.
โ The bars are black o a white background and vary in width and quantity depending on the application.
โ These barcodes are scanned using special optical scanners known as barcode readers.

The joint military exercise MAITREE 2024, between the Indian Army and the Royal Thailand Army, is currently underway in Tak Province, Thailand. This exercise marks a significant milestone in fostering military cooperation and enhancing the operational capabilities of the two nations under the United Nations charter.
President Droupadi Murmu, who is on a four-day tour to Odisha, will visit the historic Udayagiri caves in Bhubaneswar today. Udayagiri caves are famous for the Hathigumpha inscription which is carved out in Brahmi script. The inscription starts with โJain Namokar Mantraโ and highlights various military campaigns undertaken by Kharavela, a great monarch of Kalinga, the ancient name of Odisha. She will also inaugurate the Divine Retreat Centre of Brahma Kumari at Haridamada village near Bhubaneswar and launch the โLifestyle for Sustainabilityโ campaign.
