Sri Krishna Committee was constituted on 03 February 2010, to investigate the situation in united AP. It submitted the report on 30 December 2010 to the central government. Other members were Vinod Duggal, Ravinder Kaur, Abusaleh Sharif and Ranbir Singh.
Suggestions:
a. To continue the status quo.
b. To divide the state into Seemandhra and Telangana with Hyderabad as Union Territory.
c. To divide the state into Rayala Telangana and Coastal Andhra, with Hyderabad part of Rayala Telangana.
d. To separate Seemandhra and Telangana and to extend the boundaries of Hyderabad to make it a joint capital as well as Union Territory.
e. To divide the state into Seemandhra and Telangana and to make Hyderabad as capital of Telangana, and a new capital for Seemandhra.
f. To keep the state united by taking constitutional measures for the development of Telangana region both socially, economically, and for political unity.

Protests and events critical to formation of Telangana:
• Non-Cooperation Strike: With the memory of the Non-Cooperation Movement by Mahatma Gandhi, non-cooperation movement was conducted by the JAC to bring to the notice of the central government about the aspirations of Telangana. This is about non-assistance to both state and central governments, mainly by government employees. On 17 February 2011, the government employees began the non-cooperation agitation. About three lakh government employees from the lowest to the highest rank took part.
• Million March: Million march has a unique place in the history of Telangana agitation. It was planned on the lines of Tahrir Square protests in Egypt. Even as employees were observing non-cooperation, KCR had announced that Million March will be held on 10 March 2011 to exert pressure on the central government to introduce the Telangana bill in the parliament.
• Sakalajanula Samme or All People’s Strike: On 12 September 2011, the TRS party conducted the ‘Janagarjana Sabha’ or the roar of the people, at Karimnagar. KCR announced in this meeting that the Sakalajanula Samme would begin on 13 September 2011.. It went on peacefully for 42 days.
• Sagara Haram or formation of the human chain: 30 September 2011. Later, the name ‘Telangana March’ was changed to ‘Sagara Haram’. The only demand of the march was the introduction of the bill in parliament.
• Sansad Yatra or March to Parliament: The Telangana political JAC organised the Sansad March for two days, on 29th and 30th April 2013, at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi.

Govt Makes ISI Mark Mandatory For Stainless Steel And Aluminium Utensils
The government has mandated conformity to the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for stainless steel and aluminium utensils to enhance kitchen safety, quality and efficiency. According to an order issued by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), the ISI mark will be compulsory for such utensils. Consumer Affairs Ministry said, non-compliance to this order is punishable. Recently, the BIS has developed a range of standards covering essential kitchen items.

Satavahanas
1. Gautami Putra Satakarni was the greatest king not only of all the Satavahanas but also of the entire early South Indian kings. He was the twenty-third ruler of the Satavahana empire. In the 18th year of his reign, he invaded Kshathrepas and killed his enemy ‘Nahapana’. The Jogalthambi hoard containing the coins of Nahapana restruck by Gautamiputra Satakarni, attests to his victory over the Saka.The Nasik epigraph describes him as 'Thrisamudra thoya peetha Vahana', 'Kshatriya Darpamana Mardana', Agamanilaya and Ekabrahmana'
2. In Gadhasapthasathi King Hala in the beginning and at the end of the work recited the glory of ‘Pashupathi’ and Gouri. The largest Shiva Linga belonging to the 2nd century A.D. was found at ‘Gudimallam’ in Chittoor district. Recent discoveries are providing interesting information about the popularity of Jainism and its 'Thirthankaras'. ‘Sheethalanatha’ the Tenth Jain Thirthankara hails from ‘Bhadrachalm’ in the Khammam district of Andhradesa (present Telangana). His grandson propagated Jainism in Andhradesha.
