What do I do if my username is taken?
Telegram usernames are distributed on a first come — first serve basis.

We understand that certain usernames are part of an online identity for some of us. If your desired username is already taken, Telegram will be happy to help you acquire it for your account or channel, provided that you have that same username on at least two of these services: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.

Due to the fact that one account can register multiple bot and channel usernames, we reserve the right to recall usernames assigned to unused bots and channels, as well as openly squatted usernames.

Use Hashtags to Organize Your Chats

A great way to organize your chats inside a group or channel is by using hashtags. When you use a hashtag in a message, that word becomes searchable allowing you to see all the messages relating to that topic. For example, if the group is discussing the new Avengers movie, everyone can use the Avengers hashtag. If you want to see all the messages in one location, you can just tap on the hashtag and all the messages with that hashtag will come up.

You guys can use telegra.ph. (@telegraph) article to write without any word limit and put it's link in bio to get rid of word limit for telegram's Bio or for discription of your group, channel on Telegram.

You can use this trick for explain about yourself in detail like your projects on GitHub, can put link of your account on different platforms or can use this trick to promote your community

Well lots of new players Joining Telegram so this information for new users. That we can search for previously discussed topics/chats in groups/personal chats/channel you guys just need to

1) Tap on three dot icon at top right corner 2) tap on serach 3) put your keyword and you are good to go and hit 🔍 on keyboard that's it.

You can search any topic no matter how old it is. Because Telegram is a cloud-based messaging service so all chats that remain as it is in telegram server unless and until user delete it.

Just FYI you currently can drag down the Chats tab to access filter by chat type.

While it's not as powerful as folders, it still could be used instead in some cases for now.

Here is #TelegramTips to use Markdown if your UI doesn't bring markdown option inside PupUp menu after selecting Text (like mentioned here 👈) . Like devices running on MIUI

Just select text and tap on three dot menu at top right corner That's it you are good to go.
