Colonel Artur Sargsyan was a staunch and decorated military figure who was martyred during the 2020 Artsakh War on October 25. Born on April 21, 1975, in the city of Etchmiadzin, he completed his studies at the Republic of Armeniaβs Academy of Agriculture with a diploma of excellence. Since 2017, he had been serving as the Deputy Commander of the Staff of the 3rd army corps of the Ministry of Defense, and on June 4, 2020, he was appointed to the position of the Deputy Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Artsakh.
