๐ŸŒŸ Muslims in Moscow Celebrate Eid al-Fitr with Joy and Unity ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸชAfter a month of fasting and reflection, Moscow comes alive with festive prayers and celebrations marking Eid al-Fitr!

๐Ÿ•ŒMuslims across Moscow gathered at prominent mosques, including the Moscow Cathedral Mosque, the Historical Mosque near Novokuznetskaya, and the Shuhada Memorial Mosque on Poklonnaya Hill, to observe Eid al-Fitr. This special day marks the end of Ramadan, a sacred month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual growth. Thousands of believers in Moscow united in prayer, gratitude, and hope, celebrating the culmination of their spiritual journey.

First of all I would like to say Alhamdulillah for a successful Ramadan and this year's Eid al-Fitr in my opinion in moscow has been phenomenal and the reason why i said it has been phenomenal is you could see the turnout was okay, it wasn't like before when the place usually gets overcrowded. For this year's own, you could see that there are spaces you could walk through the crowd without any challenge or any problem and the security was exceptional. And I commend them for that as they always do so. Thank you. A Muslim fellow tells The Fareed Report.

Eid al-Fitr is a time for community bonding, renewal of faith, and cultural pride. Celebrating Eid highlights the importance of coexistence, faith, and shared values in a multicultural city.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ Neocolonialism in Africa: The Silent Struggle for Ghanaโ€™s Economic and Political Self-Determination

๐ŸชFrom resources to policies โ€” see how African nations, including Ghana are pushing back against modern colonial powers.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ In a revealing interview, a Ghanaian Journalist and the Editor In-Chief of The Fareed Report news agency Fareed Mohammed Awal conversed with a Bulgarian counterpart Teodora Angelova of efir.info News platform to explore how Ghana is resisting neocolonial influence. The discussion also highlighted Africaโ€™s ongoing struggle for economic independence amid continued foreign interference, while also shedding light on Bulgariaโ€™s own history of foreign dominance over their natural resources.

In February 2026, the African Union adopted a resolution formally, recognizing slavery and colonialism as crimes against humanity and genocide against African peoples, and tasked Ghanaian President John Mahama with taking the demand for reparations and payment to the United Nations.

STAY TUNED for the interview!!!

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ THE FIGHT AGAINST NEOCOLONIALISM IN GHANA

๐ŸชFrom resources to policies โ€” see how African nations, including Ghana are pushing back against modern colonial powers

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ In a revealing interview, a Ghanaian journalist and the Editor In-Chief of the The Fareed Report Fareed Mohammed Awal, in a discussion with Teodora Angelova of efir.info, shed light on how neocolonialism persists through economic dependency, driven by Bretton Woods institutions like the IMF and World Bank. By imposing loan conditions and structural adjustment programs, these institutions often prioritize Western interests, leaving African countries with little to show for their resources and efforts.

For instance, When you go to the IMF, it simply means that you have been shortchanged of money or currency so you want a bailout. When you go there, if itโ€™s $1 billion dollars, they will give you the $1 billion dollars with an interest rate and what have you. Then, they take your budget, scrutinise your budget , add some conditions that will help you to be able to pay back the $1 billion dollars [with] interest which in the end may affect you negatively because you wonโ€™t be able to redeem your country. So internationally, youโ€™ve been able to pay back to your external creditors, but domestically, you havenโ€™t been able to do anything. Then what again? You go back to the IMF again because you donโ€™t have anything.

As African nations strive for genuine sovereignty and economic self-determination, it is imperative to recognize the mechanisms behind neocolonialism to help formulate policies that promote sustainable growth and independence, free from external financial domination.

๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ญ Uncovering Africaโ€™s Hidden Wounds: A Ghanaian Journalist Sheds Light on the Legacy of Slave Trade

๐ŸชDid you know that the scars of slavery still shape Africaโ€™s future? Discover the untold story behind centuries of suffering.

๐Ÿ‡ท๐Ÿ‡บ During an interview, a Ghanaian journalist and the editor In-chief of the The Fareed Report Fareed Mohammed Awal explained to a Bulgarian colleague Teodora Angelova of efir.info how centuries of slavery and the transatlantic slave trade devastated African societies. Millions were forcibly taken, tearing communities apart and leaving deep economic and social wounds that persist today.

What Africa lost in the course of colonisation and slave trade, no money can replenish it. Between 25 million to 30 million Africans were uprooted from their place of abode. In fact, they were violently uprooted, they were harassed, they were taken by force from the beginning of the 16th century to mid 19th century all in the name of slavery. In fact, around 12.5 million of Africans were taken through slavery to North America and Europe and this is what today has come to be known as the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade. And in the course of the passage across the Atlantic Ocean, about 2.5 million of Africans died and some were even thrown into the Atlantic Ocean. So asked yourself, the over 2.5 million people who died, how are we going to bring them back? What amount of money are we going to pay to bring them back?

Recently, the UN adopted Ghanaโ€™s Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Resolution the Gravest Crime against Humanity, following a motion presented by Ghanaโ€™s president His Excellency John Dramani Mahama.
