🚨 BREAKING: GEMs are rolling out globally for Advanced users 👀

Gem manager is available, allowing users to create their GEMs. An official announcement is expected to follow.

Some pre-build GEMs are also available for users to test:
- Brainstormer
- Career guide
- Coding partner
- Learning coach
- Writing editor

Have you tried any of them already?

Some quick notes about GEMs:
- Only Advanced users seem to be able to interact with GEMs and create them
- GEMs creation is quite similar to Custom GPTs or rather Character AI where you can specify a custom prompt and test it

- GEMs don't have access to any functionality atm it seems, like web browsing
- GEMs are not sharable so you need to create your own
- GMEs keep a separate list of past conversations with the GEM

ChatGPT seems to be experiencing some issues at this moment (At least in the EU) 👀👀👀

Anthropic seems to be silently releasing the "code inpainting" feature for Claude AI on the web.

There, you can select a part of the code and ask Claude to explain it or Improve it with a new prompt inside the artifact 👀

Google isn't over yet. Parts of Gemini updates were still moved to tomorrow 👀

Custom GEM conversations can also be shared along with a full GEM prompt 👀

Yet, you cannot continue such a conversation without manually copying prompts and instructions to your own GEM

🚨 BREAKING: Perplexity is working on a "Recruiter" focus to search across LinkedIn👀👀👀

Potentially it will help recruiters to search across candidate profiles. It is also likely that this focus will be only available in Organisation plans.

Searching with this focus seems to be only querying LinkedIn instead of other sources for the same query. However, it refuses to respond with candidate profiles for now.

Gemini is rolling out OpenStax Extension globally 👀👀👀

It seems to be toggled "on" automatically.

OpenStax is the world’s largest publisher of open education resources (OER) and a provider of interactive learning technologies and education research for high school and college.

🚨 BREAKING: GEMs Manager will get an option to set GEM as "default" as well as support for knowledgebase upload 👀👀👀

Setting GEM as a default will be possible from the context menu.
Currently, it seems not having any effect.

It is not fully clear what setting GEM as a default would mean in fact.

It could be that a prompt from this GEM will be used as a default prompt for new GEMs.

It could be that default GEM will be used for all new chats potentially as well.

The GEM editor will get new options to add a description to the GEM and potentially an option to share it (publicly or within the org?)
