I know. it’s been a long time since I posted here.
and yeah, I get that it might be a bit annoying that I’m popping back in now just to tell you about something I’m building.
but I figured it’s worth sharing anyway, because it’s actually connected to why I started this channel in the first place - helping devs become better engineers.
so I’ve been working on a platform called 404skill.
the idea is simple: real-world backend projects, with evolving requirements and complexities like the ones you actually face on the job.
it’s still in demo mode, but you can sign up and check out what's already there.
btw, the platform will also let you request code reviews and mentorship sessions from experienced engineers, because getting real feedback is a huge part of leveling up.
and just to be upfront, I stopped doing the book summaries because I realized they weren’t really helping people the way I hoped. it felt like I was making it easy to pretend you're learning while actually just passively consuming content.
this new direction is about active learning — writing code, solving problems, building things. because that’s the only way I’ve ever really learned anything, and I think that’s true for most devs.
