As someone who had been applying for jobs for the past couple of weeks , it has been super stressful!!๐ฃ
However I think God works even through it all and i'm so grateful !
The faith in an anxious world workshop had helped me to process through the anxieties and one example would be my daily replay for wednesday.
I had just went for my first part time job shadowing and first class and felt pretty anxious getting into the lesson.
After the daily replay, I realised my anxiety wasnโt because of one factor but three ! Funny how your brain condenses issues into one singular problem to make it seem like nothing much happened, maybe itโs a survival thing (iโm not too sure but maybe!)
Sitting down to organise my thoughts and being in Godโs presence is helpful and itโs a habit iโd like to get used to doing!

Last Sunday, we covered the topic of relationships and family in our Faith in an Anxious World series. Many of us were prompted to reflect on the last time we felt anxiety rise within our families. It struck me that every family has its struggles, even if we donโt often speak about them openly. ๐ค
I was reminded of Malachi 4:6, which says:
โHe will turn the hearts of the parents to their children, and the hearts of the children to their parents.โ
It reminded me that God is in the business of reconciling family relationships. So even when weโre tempted to avoid the mess or feel overwhelmed by how deep-rooted things are, God sees, and He remains committed to restoring peace.
My prayer is for us to hold fast to our loving Father, trust in His heart, and believe that it is His joy to build familial love. โค๏ธโ๐ฉน๐๐งโ๐งโ๐งโ๐ง

Hello everyone!! Hope youโre having a restful weekend :)
This week, I wanted to share my highlight learnings from last Sunday's Korean service, where we had a powerful sharing by missionaries, M and G.
M spoke about his journey translating the Bible for locals in Indonesia and two things stood out to me.
First โ the power of language. As someone whoโs always been interested in languages, I was reminded of how impactful it is when words arenโt just translated accurately, but naturally. Every language has its own metaphors, expressions, and ways of communicating, and hearing how translation can shape someoneโs experience of the Bible made me appreciate how important it is for Godโs Word to feel personal and relatable.
Second โ was about calling. M shared his journey to being a translator and how sometimes things happen when he didnโt expect them to or was uncertain. It reminded me that God's calling may not always look like what we expect, or even what we saw for ourselves. But over time, He reveals the parts we play in his plan
Their sharing really encouraged me to trust Godโs timing more, and to stay open to unexpected paths. God has a unique plan for each of us, and our โyesโ โ even when unsure โ can lead to something deeply meaningful.
So if youโve ever found yourself unsure about where things are going, this is a gentle reminder to trust the process and stay open to where God might be leading :)

Happy national day everyone! This week's message will be a little short as I felt that we should use this time to look at how far our nation has come and how God has blessed our nation for the past few decades! As I was teaching my classes during this week (in which the art class themes were all themed around national day) I had some time to look at how we have progressed as a nation , some including why we chose Vanda miss Joaquim as our national flower which is due to it's "resilience and year-round blooming quality"
I hope that we continue to pray for our country โ that we would continue to have good and responsible leaders that put the people first and that our country would continue to live in harmony while sorting out issues civilly and lawfully!

In Mark 5, we see this as He raised Jairusโ daughter and how He turned to the bleeding woman, offering both healing and dignity. ๐ฉธ๐ฉธ๐ฉธ-> ๐๏ธ
So often, we forget that these are the dominant characteristics of God Himself. Yet how comforting it is to remember that our God has a deep desire to alleviate painโ and He acts on it. ๐งโ๐ผ
I pray that in moments of deep pain and anguish, His compassion will meet us where we are, and may we extend the same unto others. ๐๐
