A brand-new age of space travel is just beginning.

New images posted by SpaceX on Twitter demonstrate that the 39 updated Raptor engines needed to launch its fully reusable Starship rocket into orbit have almost all been installed.


A new Starship prototype called Ship 24 and a Super Heavy booster called Booster 7 are getting the engines installed. They will launch simultaneously into orbit this summer if upcoming tests are successful.

The idea of turning windows into working power plants has just moved a little bit closer to reality.

Perovskite cells with a conversion efficiency of 15.5 percent that let through more than 20 percent of visible light have been developed by a team of researchers from the ARC Center of Excellence in Exciton Science under the direction of Professor Jacek Jasieniak from Monash University's Department of Materials Science and Engineering.


The amount of visible light entering through the cells is amazingly now reaching glazing levels, expanding their potential for use in a wide range of real-world applications. This enhances the stability of solar windows while allowing more natural light in.
