From April to September, I traveled about ten thousand kilometers around Georgia. It's more than I had driven around Siberia in a year. As a result, I know the country's geography, if not by heart, then close to it, and if wished, I could lead tours (but there are many others without me).
Few countries have so many cool and diverse locations so close, like an Atlas in miniature. It's soporificly cozy here; however, the diminutiveness gives off a very specific vibe akin to childhood or oldness, and since diapers are far behind us and retirement is a long way off, - my nature calls for scale, calls on the road of roads.

Дмитрий Быков - блестящий популяризатор литературы, но его идеи бегут впереди эстетики, подменяя собой и сюжет, и героев, и стиль. Иногда это увлекает, чаще - не слишком. Чтобы узнать мнение Дмитрия Львовича про войну (и про что бы то ни было еще), достаточно посмотреть/послушать одно-два актуальных интервью. Как правило, его романы - те же (само)интервью, только на 500-700 страниц.
