Gift Auctions. Limited-edition Telegram Gifts are released in an auction-based system to ensure fair distribution.

Auctions allow you to place a bid with Stars. Gifts are then distributed to the highest bidders over several rounds.

Lower bids carry over into future rounds – and are instantly refunded after the final round if you don't win.

Passkeys. You can create a passkey on your device to instantly log in to Telegram with your PIN code or biometrics instead of an SMS code.

Passkeys work anywhere at any time, even if you don't have service – and can sync with password management apps.

To create a passkey, go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Passkeys on any device. For more info on passkeys, check out our FAQ.

Log In With Passkeys. After creating a passkey on your device, you can use it to enter your account without an SMS code.

Unlike SMS codes, passkeys are always available – and don't rely on your phone number or service provider.

With a passkey you can still choose to log in via SMS – so make sure your account is registered to an active phone number that you control.

Gift Crafting. Collectible gifts can be combined to craft exclusive versions with unique effects.

A single craft can use up to 4 gifts, with each increasing the chance of success.

Using multiple gifts with the same attributes makes it more likely that those attributes will appear in the final item.

Member Tags. Members in group chats can add a tag next to their name – to highlight roles and show their interests.

Admins choose whether group members are able to set their own tags or if only admins can assign them. The tags of group admins have a different color from members.

To allow members to set their tags in your group, go to Group Settings > Permissions and turn on 'Edit Own Tags'.

Captions for GIFs. When selecting a GIF in the GIF panel, you can add a caption directly to it, and send it all as one message.

GIFs can also be edited before sending – to add text, drawings and emoji or to trim the GIF and change its length.

To add a caption or edit a GIF, press and hold it in the panel and select 'Edit'.

Date Formatting. The 'Date' formatting option lets you set a specific date and time to add events to a calendar or set a reminder.

Date formatting automatically adapts to each recipient's local date and time.

Log In With Telegram. You can sign up and log in to apps and websites using your Telegram account in just a few taps.
