After the U.S. ban, China’s own AI company DeepSeek is turning to Huawei for chips 🇨🇳

DeepSeek reportedly plans to use 160,000 Huawei AI chips in a massive new data center in Inner Mongolia.

→ The data center will mainly be used to run AI models
→ Cheaper electricity in the region will help handle huge AI workloads
→ DeepSeek still uses NVIDIA chips to train its AI
→ U.S. restrictions have made it harder for China to import NVIDIA’s most advanced AI chips
→ Huawei is now stepping in with its own AI chips

Huawei could take more than a year to deliver all 160,000 chips as it ramps up production.

China is clearly pushing to build its AI infrastructure with less dependence on NVIDIA.

- BSNL’s indigenous 4G stack involves C-DOT, TCS and Tejas Networks
- HD voice over IMS is currently available in 7 circles, with a nationwide rollout planned
- Indigenous 5G RAN is also being tested on BSNL’s network
