π 72% of the world's new AI computing power since 2022 went to the US. China got about 10%
The gap keeps growing. America took about 60% of each year's new AI compute from 2022 to 2024, then 72% in 2025 and 78% in the first half of 2026.
The numbers come from Epoch AI, a research group that traced AI chips through customs records from over a dozen countries, counting each chip where it finally lands. China's share includes its home-made Huawei and Cambricon chips.
By Epoch's estimate, the US has imported AI chips worth about $288 billion since 2022. China: $50.5 billion.

If You Are a Software Developer, Keep This in Mind
1. Keep It Simple
Complexity is your enemy. Write code thatβs easy to understand and maintain.
2.Focus on User Needs
Always think about the end-user. Build software that solves real problems.
3. Test Early, Test Often
Testing is not an option. Catch bugs early by writing tests and using automation tools.
4. Write Clear Code
Make sure your code is easy to read and understand for others (and your future self).
5. Document Your Code
Well-documented code saves time and helps others understand your work.
6. Modularize Your Code
Break your code into smaller, reusable parts. Itβs easier to manage and update.
7. Keep Learning
Technology changes fast. Stay curious and keep up with new tools and best practices.

π Human Operator Moves the Hand
MIT's wearable Human Operator looks like dragon scales along the forearm. AI vision tracks the task and sends precisely timed electrical signals to the hand muscles, making the fingers move without the user deciding to move them.
For someone 1.5 years after a stroke, whose recovery has stalled, repetition is the point. The device could provide more training hours in a week than a clinic can provide in a month.
It does not download a skill. It guides movement rather than transferring ability, and it is still unknown whether this creates lasting motor memory.

9 Baby Steps to Learn Web Development ππ
1. Understand the Basics: Begin with learning the fundamental technologies that power the web: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. HTML structures the content, CSS styles it, and JavaScript adds interactivity. Focus on building simple web pages to get comfortable with these technologies.
2. Build Simple Websites: Start creating basic websites. Begin with static websites where you practice structuring content with HTML and styling it with CSS. Try building a personal portfolio or a simple landing page to apply what youβve learned.
3. Learn Version Control with Git: Git is essential for tracking changes and collaborating on projects. Learn the basics of Git and GitHub, such as creating repositories, committing changes, and pushing code. Start by managing your web projects with Git.
4. Dive into Responsive Design: Learn how to make your websites responsive, so they look good on different devices. Study CSS techniques like Flexbox and Grid, and practice using media queries to adapt your siteβs layout for various screen sizes.
5. Explore JavaScript Further: Deepen your understanding of JavaScript by learning about DOM manipulation, event handling, and AJAX. Practice by adding dynamic elements to your websites, such as interactive forms, image sliders, or real-time content updates.
6. Start with Front-End Frameworks: Familiarize yourself with popular front-end frameworks like Bootstrap for faster styling and layout or React.js for building dynamic user interfaces. Use these tools to create more complex web applications.
7. Work on Full-Stack Projects: Once youβre comfortable with front-end development, start learning about back-end technologies like Node.js, Express.js, and databases (SQL or NoSQL). Build full-stack applications that include both front-end and back-end components, such as a blog platform or a basic e-commerce site.
8. Join Web Development Communities: Engage with communities on platforms like StackOverflow, Redditβs webdev subreddit, and GitHub. Contributing to open-source projects or seeking feedback on your work will accelerate your learning.
9. Practice and Keep Learning: Web development is vast and continuously evolving. Keep building projects, learning new frameworks, and staying updated with industry trends. Consistent practice and staying curious are key to becoming a proficient web developer.

OpenAI released GPT-6.1 Terra, and speed is the main selling point.
The new model is built for actual computer work, not just chatting. It can navigate apps, fill out forms, write and refactor code, analyze documents and videos, and even create 3D models from technical drawings.
And the numbers look pretty interesting:
β’ 3x faster than GPT-6 Astra and GPT-6.1 Sol on agentic tasks.
β’ Much fewer hallucinations. Error rates dropped from 53.6% to 16.7% with minimal reasoning, and down to 4.3% at maximum effort.
β’ Big coding improvement. Terra scored 50.3% on Terminal-Bench 4.0, up from 21.5% for the previous version.
β’ 1M token context window, enough to work with large documents and codebases.
β’ Half the API price: $1 per million input tokens and $5 per million output tokens. Thatβs also significantly cheaper than Claude Opus 5.5.
Instead of making every model bigger and smarter, theyβre focusing on making AI agents faster, cheaper, and more reliable at using computers.

What is CI/CD?
When we set out to build software and deliver it to users (deployment), we often worry: "Will the code work? What if there are errors? What if the system crashes?" To alleviate these concerns, there is an excellent practice: CI/CD.
CI/CD (Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment) is not just about automation; it is also a work culture and a mindset.
In short, CI/CD involves continuously integrating the code we write, having it tested automatically, and delivering it to users without any risk.
Benefits of CI/CD that many beginner programmers may not be aware of:
β€ Reduces human error: By eliminating the need for manual intervention during the deployment process, it helps prevent mistakes.
β€ Feature Flags: You can deploy code to an application today but choose to make it visible to users on a different, specific date.
β€ Rapid Rollbacks: If new code causes an issue, you can instantly revert to the previous, stable version without any panic.
Using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI can significantly streamline the CI/CD process and make our work much easier.
Simply put, CI/CD acts like an "autopilot" for your code. You write the code, and it ensures a smooth delivery.
