CRYPTO CRACKDOWN:
The ED has seized over ₹3.35 crore worth of crypto while investigating a large online investment and work from home scam..
According to investigators:
-Searches were carried out at 19 locations across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Srinagar.
-Fraudsters allegedly cheated victims out of nearly ₹15 crore through fake investment platforms and work from home schemes.
-The money was reportedly routed through mule bank accounts and shell companies before being converted into crypto. The crypto was then later moved across multiple wallets in an attempt to hide the money trail.
-ED also seized ₹14.5 lakh in cash and froze bank accounts holding more than ₹40 lakh.

The clarity act bill has passed the House and cleared the Senate Banking Committee but no floor vote has been scheduled.
It needs 60 Senate votes and zero Democrats currently support the latest draft over a standoff on Trump crypto ethics language.
The updated bill text was expected this week but has yet to be made public as lawmakers continue negotiations over the ethics provision.
