LEGO pieces filter bot
It took Daniel West about 2 years and 10 thousand LEGO parts to assemble the LEGO parts sorter.
The device captures the needed shape from the needed available ones to determines its type with the help of a neural network on an attached laptop and sends it to one of 18 sorting baskets. It's faster than a human, actually.

Spot, the robot that pees with beer
Blogger-engineer Michael Reeves decided to combine good content with a useful feature for the Spot robot from Boston Dynamics, namely pouring beer into glasses.
To do this, the bot was equipped with an additional camera and an algorithm for recognizing red cups, where the foam drink should be "peed".
The robotic dog still managed to fill the glasses with beer several times, but most of them were immediately overturned by the robot itself. And the Spot itself periodically "leaked" for no reason…

Origin minibus - no steering wheel or pedals
The American company Cruise went public with the Origin electric minibus which lacks all controllers except the on-board computer responsible for movement.
Passengers only have to specify the point of arrival and enjoy the trip. Moreover, each chair is provided with USB ports.
It is worth noting that Origin is not a concept, but a ready-to-manufacture model. The only deterrent factor is non–compliance with US federal regulations.

Aska The Compact Electric Flying Car
Israeli-American startup NFT presented the original concept of a foldable electric flying car Aska.
It has four rods two of which are mounted on its reclining arms and two on the wings. All the wings automatically fold back for ease of movement through city streets. The two middle support parts are designed for vertical takeoff and landing.
In perspective, Aska should be able to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h and cover a distance of up to 400 km in one flight. In the future, this distance will increase.

Singapore based company has developed a simple and efficient solar energy concentrator
Engineers from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) have designed a budget version of a passive sunlight concentrator, being extremely modest in size while retaining great efficiency.
It uses conventional optical fiber to transmit the light from the concentrator to the lamp of the emitter. This allows for easy communication networking.
The sphere itself is stationary and placed in a transparent hood for weather protection.

Segway and Xiaomi announce The Hydrogen Electric Powered Motorcycle APEX H2
If we talk about the technical features of the vehicle, not much is known here.
The motorcycle is equipped with a hybrid engine, so it is able to run on hydrogen and electricity. According to the developers, the rider can use hydrogen in cases when it is impossible to charge the battery of the motorcycle or it is just quicker to replace the cylinder.
The engine power is 60 kW, which is enough to accelerate APEX H2 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.

Orbit — a Tripod For 3D Product Photography
The name Orbit fits the device very well, because the attached camera or smartphone moves around, or in other words, orbits the object placed in the center.
The working principle of the Orbit is quite simple. The device is mounted higher, to the ceiling or on a special bracket if the action takes place in nature, a camera is attached to one arm, and additional equipment is placed on the other one. After that, the focus and rotation speed is set, from 1/60 to 10 RPM (revolutions per minute), and the shooting begins.

Super Heavy SpaceX Starship-Catching Launch Tower
SpaceX specialists are working on a project which aims to catch a 70-meter Super Heavy spacecraft stage before it touches the ground.
To do this, they intend to build a 143-meter tower at the launch pad, which will act as a net for a huge rocket.
Most likely we will see the first finished tower at the company's Starbase in Boca Chica.

M-Block - superordinary robots by Boston Dynamics
M-Block - the work of art created by engineers at Boston Dynamics, John Romanishin in particular.
The bot itself is essentially a cube with a built-in engine that does 20,000 revs a minute, with magnets on the sides. It can move whichever way it wants and attach itself to its “brethren”.
Together, they can form any complex structure. A chair or a ladder, for example. In fact, such consttructions can include over a million of these bots.

New AI technique transforms any image into the style of famous artists
Computer artist Glenn Marshall recently developed an AI called Chimera, a text-to-image generator that transforms any picture into the style of famous artists.
All you have to do is upload a photo and select a style of the desired creator, and the program will create the artwork.
Chimera is not able to create, but tries to distort the picture to display the desired style. Nevertheless, it is very amusing.

Virgin Galactic has presented a ship for third generation space tourists.
Virgin Galactic has unveiled a new generation spacecraft designed for space tourism - VSS Imagine.
The new ship is covered with a mirror material that reliably protects it from the effects of the extreme environment of outer space. It will be launched into orbit by a carrier ship, from which it will detach at a high altitude.
According to the company, thanks to the modular design of VSS Imagine, it will be easier to maintain and it will launch into orbit much more often.

Neurolink helps monkey play ping-pong
The Neuralink project which involved implanting a device into the brain to control external gadgets has shown results.
So, a 9-year-old monkey named Pager learned to play ping-pong only a few weeks after the operation.
Presumably, Neuralink will be able to simplify working with devices, as well as allow paralyzed people to interact with the world.
