Drifting autopilot

The engineers of Dynamic Design Lab are trying to make the uncontrollable moments in the car safe for passengers. Therefore, they started developing a new autopilot based on the old DeLorean DMC-12 car.

MARTY (the car got this name) is equipped with a system of GPS sensors that determine the position up to a centimeter, it’s got two electric motors with a torque of 7000 Nm and a powerful control system capable of throwing the car into a controlled skid.

Blogger-engineer Michael Reeves decided to combine good content with a useful feature for the Spot robot from Boston Dynamics, namely pouring beer into glasses.

Aska The Compact Electric Flying Car

Israeli-American startup NFT presented the original concept of a foldable electric flying car Aska.

It has four rods two of which are mounted on its reclining arms and two on the wings. All the wings automatically fold back for ease of movement through city streets. The two middle support parts are designed for vertical takeoff and landing.

In perspective, Aska should be able to reach speeds of up to 240 km/h and cover a distance of up to 400 km in one flight. In the future, this distance will increase.

Singapore based company has developed a simple and efficient solar energy concentrator

Engineers from Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) have designed a budget version of a passive sunlight concentrator, being extremely modest in size while retaining great efficiency.

It uses conventional optical fiber to transmit the light from the concentrator to the lamp of the emitter. This allows for easy communication networking.

The sphere itself is stationary and placed in a transparent hood for weather protection.

Segway and Xiaomi announce The Hydrogen Electric Powered Motorcycle APEX H2

If we talk about the technical features of the vehicle, not much is known here.

The motorcycle is equipped with a hybrid engine, so it is able to run on hydrogen and electricity. According to the developers, the rider can use hydrogen in cases when it is impossible to charge the battery of the motorcycle or it is just quicker to replace the cylinder.

The engine power is 60 kW, which is enough to accelerate APEX H2 from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4 seconds.
