Robot Skiers

An entertaining competition of robot skiers called Edge of Robot: Ski Robot Challenge took place back in 2018 at the South Korean ski resort Welli Hilli.

8 teams presented their robot that meets the requirements of the competition (only humanoid type, with two legs and arms with joints, height of at least 50 cm).

Task: to go around 5 flags at a distance of 80 m.

The winner was the robot Taekwon V, who passed the track best.

EZRaider-HD4 is equipped with four engines (one on each wheel) with a total capacity of 24 hp. Its maximum speed is 45 km/ h, and a 60-volt lithium battery with a capacity of 3 kWh provides a mileage of 75 km.

Rapid Roll Solar has already been tested on Flat Hill Island, providing electricity to a lighthouse and a local pub.

German startup Wingcopter is successfully releasing a developed model of a drone of the same name with a vertical takeoff feature.

The Wingcopter 178 is capable of reaching speeds of up to 160 km/h, traveling up to 190 km on a single battery charge, while carrying up to 6 kg of payload.

The design of the tiltrotor makes it more stable during flight in strong winds and bad weather.

This model has already been used for delivery of insulin in Ireland and vaccines in Tanzania.
