Karl began his "Goliath Expedition" in 1998 in southern Chile. The finish was originally planned for 2008, but it has been delayed due to visa issues and crises.
He has managed to cross the Bering Strait and swim across the Caspian Sea. Just this May, he finally reached Europe. Out of 58,000 kilometers, he has only 3,000 kilometers left to walk.
Just imagine: during the presentation of the first iPhone, he was simply trying to survive in the Russian tundra.
