The Ministry of Industry and Trade has announced the rates for the technical collection on electronics. Up to ₽496 will be charged for each smartphone and up to ₽992 for each laptop.
For devices that have a brand and model listed in the marking system, the fees will be nearly halved: ₽250 for smartphones and ₽500 for laptops.
The new collection fee will be included in the price of the equipment starting from December 1.

A hacker used AI agents to steal data from over 600,000 credit cards from online stores.
The hacker only provided the agents with short prompts. After that, the agents independently identified vulnerable websites and embedded code to steal card information.
The entire operation was managed by Opus 4.6, which infected at least 119 websites. To find targets, the hacker utilized a tool called Strix, which is intended to help defend against hacks.
