The Thai office of Meta was briefly taken over by a squirrel: someone ordered the animal by mail, causing a panic.

Once inside the building, the squirrel escaped from its box and ran around the office for 20 minutes. While trying to catch it, the squirrel bit a janitor.

This is what happens with cut budgets for snacks.

Website hosting in Russia may be linked to the State Services platform: the Ministry of Digital Development is discussing mandatory identification of individuals with providers.

Each dedicated IP address is proposed to be assigned to users with verified accounts. The market anticipates that due to this barrier, hosting services could lose 20-35% of their clients, who may migrate to foreign platforms.

Currently, the internet remains accessible without passport verification.

OpenAI reportedly hired former Apple employees as spies. When starting their new jobs, they were asked to provide confidential information about the company's projects.

One former iPhone engineer chose not to turn in his work laptop, which ultimately led to his downfall. He used it to access and download Apple’s proprietary databases while already employed at OpenAI.

He sent messages to his former colleagues saying things like, "LOL, I still have access, this is going to be fun." The guy even created instructions on how to discreetly copy work files to avoid detection by security.

This may have been encouraged by Tang Tan, OpenAI's hardware director, who was recruiting people from Apple and asking them to bring prototypes and blueprints to interviews. Prior to joining OpenAI, Tan had spent nearly 25 years as a lead developer on the iPhone.

Protecting our computers from AI: a tool called dcg has gone viral on GitHub β€” it intercepts β€œdestructive” commands from agents before they execute.

Startup founder and prompt engineer Matt Shumer shared that today GPT-5.6 Sol wiped almost all the data from his MacBook. The dcg tool effectively blocks commands for deleting files and formatting disks.

It will monitor the actions of Claude Code, Codex, Gemini, Copilot, and Cursor. You can get it here.

Altman and Musk are arguing again. Elon called Sam a "next-level con artist." Sam didn't hold back in his response:
"Man, you're the one selling stock investors the idea of soon having data centers in space."

Following that, Altman tweeted that Musk's new obsession is the best benchmark for GPT-5.6.

What you see here is a typical conversation between one of the richest people on the planet and the head of one of the leading AI companies in the world.

Food prices are set to rise due to a "super El NiΓ±o." The increase in temperatures in the Pacific Ocean risks causing droughts and crop failures worldwide.

El NiΓ±o may begin this fall. According to forecasts from Goldman Sachs and UniCredit, prices for staple foods could rise by 10 to 50%, and vulnerable crops could see increases of up to 100%.

The production of rice, sugar, coffee, cocoa, and palm oil will be the most affected. The crisis could last until 2028.

A guy digitized himself to become a vlogger without filming on camera. The most interesting part is that he did it without AI; instead, he created a separate animation engine.

The vlogger developed a script using JavaScript on top of Adobe After Effects. You just need to input a text script and voiceover, and then the program automatically assembles a nearly finished video with facial expressions, gestures, and visuals.

In the article, he shares a guide with code examples.
