In Russia, a draft law has passed its first reading proposing prison sentences of up to 7 years for illegal cryptocurrency activities.
If the damage or income exceeds 3.5 million rubles, offenders could face fines, community service, or up to 4 years in prison. For illegal transactions exceeding 13.5 million rubles, the penalty could be up to 7 years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
