Russia has restricted the import of PCs, laptops, hard drives, and other technology. A new list of goods permitted for parallel imports has come into effect.

The affected brands include Apple, Samsung, Intel, Sony, Asus, Acer, Nintendo, Nvidia, Nokia, Sandisk, and others. In total, over 30 companies will find it more difficult to import their products.

One of the official reasons given is that there are already local alternatives available in Russia.

No more waiting for series translations: ElevenLabs has released Dubbing v2, which can professionally voice over a YouTube video or an entire movie.

Instead of just simple transcription, Dubbing v2 relies on a complete analysis of the original audio track. This allows it to preserve the tone, emotions, and speech patterns of the actors.

In Russia, starting June 1, talking on the phone at gas stations will be prohibited. The Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) explained this decision by the risk of accidental sparks near the pumps.

While there won't be a legal ban, individual gas stations may refuse service or place customers on a blacklist. They could even call the police due to "safety threats."

Update: EMERCOM reminded that the regulatory framework has not been changed yet, so there will not be a direct ban.
