The model simply linked two previously unknown bugs. Using them, it "broke" the memory of the MacBook and gained full access to restricted parts of macOS.
The researchers who discovered the vulnerability were so surprised that they personally went to Apple's office to present their findings. The security flaw is currently being investigated, but there is no patch available yet.
