Roles and Responsibilities:
• Conduct regular proactive threat hunting activities across the bank's systems and network to identify potential cyber threats.
• Collaborate with other members of the security team to investigate and validate identified threats, assess their potential impact, and prioritize actions to mitigate them.
• Develop and implement threat hunting strategies, methodologies, and processes to ensure comprehensive coverage of potential threats.
• Monitor and analyze security events, logs, and alerts generated by various security tools and platforms to identify patterns, trends, and potential indicators of compromise.
• Investigate and analyze network traffic, system logs, and other data sources to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks.
• Use advanced tools and techniques to detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents and threats.
• Develop and maintain threat intelligence sources, frameworks, and processes to ensure the organization stays up-to-date with the latest threats and attack techniques.
• Work closely with other security teams to ensure timely response and resolution of security incidents.
• Participate in security incident response activities, including containment, analysis, and recovery.
• Continuously improve and refine threat hunting processes, tools, and methodologies to ensure effective and efficient threat detection and response
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in cyber security, with a focus on threat hunting.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in cyber security, with focus on SOC, or incident response
• Strong knowledge of cyber security tools, techniques, and methodologies, including threat intelligence, threat hunting, network analysis, and incident response.
• Experience with various security technologies, such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and analyze complex security threats and incidents.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with other security teams and stakeholders.
• Professional certifications such as GIAC, or eCTHP are preferred.
