Introduction:
Are you an experienced data warehouse developer looking for an exciting opportunity in Dubai, UAE? We're seeking a talented individual to join our client. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, deploying, and maintaining the ETL structures within their Redshift data warehouse.

Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and document procedures to integrate new data into the warehouse.
Model and create new facets of the warehouse to accommodate new data types and sources.
Optimize and tune SQL queries for optimal performance.
Monitor performance and troubleshoot problems in conjunction with the business.
Contribute to and reinforce best practices for database design.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and design robust yet dynamic models to fulfill requirements.
Stay updated on new software components in the broader datasphere to enhance effectiveness in achieving goals.
Participate in peer review processes across the data team.
Conduct periodic architectural reviews to ensure efficiency and benefit analysis.

Skills/Qualifications:
Proven experience as a SQL database developer, preferably in a cloud environment such as Redshift or Snowflake.
Proficiency in SQL programming and database management.
Exposure to dbt or similar ETL tools.
Strong understanding of relational databases and data modeling concepts.
Experience in performance tuning, including indexing and distribution keys.
Knowledge of database security practices.
Familiarity with the ELT approach to data.
Experience in Python would be beneficial.
Understanding of data quality principles, governance, and BI toolsets.
Familiarity with version control systems such as GitHub.
