Vietnam Fines Xiaomi For Violating Consumer Protection Rights!
On May 7, 2026, the National Competition Commission of Vietnam issued Decision No. 123/QΔ-XPHC imposing a fine of VND 290,000,000 (~ $11,000) on Xiaomi Vietnam Co., Ltd. for 3 violations:
- Not giving consumers the option to allow or not allow the use of their information for advertising, promoting products, goods, services, and other commercial activities.
- Failing to notify or disclose to consumers in advance the sponsorship of influencers in any form to use their image, advice, or recommendations for commercial promotion or to encourage consumers to buy or use products, goods, or services.
- Including clauses that are not permitted in general terms and conditions of transactions.

You'll be missing the ability to even adjust your display's refresh rate (searching the settings up seems to help as long as they weren't direct toggles)
You however are fucked if it was something in the menus themselves, as the toggles are... quite literally not there!
Disabling the toggle fixes it tho!
These bugs are getting worse than Xiaomi...

tldr: If you wish to use Shizuku (or anything that needs this toggle on, like app installations etc because ADB is sort of useless for most things without this)
You'll be unable to access a bunch of display settings until you go turn it off each time. This is also likely intentional and quite unnecessary (other phones don't do this)
OPlus just wants to fuck their users over.
