The Xiaomi 17 Air Prototype
Xiaomi was developing a Xiaomi 17 Air smartphone which is basically a copy of the iPhone Air model. It featured a 6.59-inch display, an ultra-thin 5.5 mm body, and a dual-camera setup.
However, it never made it to mass production, likely due to quality issues or they noticed the poor sales of the OG iPhone Air, thus cancelled their plans.

Discussions online today of 17,500,000 Instagram users information "leaked" online.
As a general clarification, this is not a "leak" in the traditional sense whereas a website or service is compromised. In other words, Instagram was not "hacked".
The individual claiming responsibility, operating under the moniker Solonik, abused Instagrams API for fetching profile information.
In summary, they programmatically walked millions of Instagram profiles and abused Instagrams API to get any profile information the API would allow them to retrieve.
This in of itself isn't a major problem. However, this much Instagram information provided in bulk is a gold mine for stalkers and extortionists because (allegedly) Instagram API does allow the retrieval of cell phone numbers (based on factors I do not understand). Besides phone numbers, email addresses associated with the account are allegedly present.
I have not independently verified the legitimacy of these claims, but I've witnessed dozens of cybersecurity experts discussing it and side effects of the API abuse. By side effects I mean that, because they have email's and telephone numbers associated with the Instagram account, Threat Actors are trying to steal accounts by sending them fake logic screens or guessing passwords.
It should be noted this is not the first time a Bad Actor has done mass data aggregation as a result of API abuse. Most notably LinkedIn and Trello were both subject to this sort of abuse.
tldr someone wrote a program to talk to Instagram, request information on profiles, did this 17,500,000 times, put it all into a searchable database. your account won't be stolen, but bad actors may target large accounts or women they find attractive. they will try to send text messages, fake login pages (to try to steal your account), or threaten to "dox" you. 17m is a lot, so only a small number of people will be targeted or harassed.

Quarterly software update for the remaining two years on Pixel
If you owned an older Pixel device that is still receiving updates, you might not be surprised how Google is releasing updates inconsistently. After 6 months of observing the patterns, some are able to tell that Google might have switched to a quarterly update model, and that is actually the case here.
The change is noticeable when Google did not release builds for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro initially last July. This is also when Google started to not include all the security patches but only the critical ones monthly, with rest of the patches released quarterly.
According to the words of the support team, Pixel devices will be switching to a quarterly update cadence when the phone had about 24 months of support remaining. This explains why this month's update had excluded Pixel 6 series, Pixel 7, and Pixel 7 Pro. Just like the case for security patches, Google might release builds outside of the quarterly cycle if they deemed it "critical."
In short, this means older supported Pixel devices will continue to receive Android OS upgrade and QPRs update, whichever is applicable, alongside Pixel Drop. They just won't receive monthly fixes and security patches anymore.

WANTED: OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau For Tax Evasions
OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau is suspected of illegally recruiting more than 70 engineers in Taiwan, and transferring NT$2.3 billion or US$ 72.9 Million into the company.
According to the prosecutor, in 2014 Pete Lau traveled to Taiwan and negotiated with a local man named Lin to set up a secret software development team to work on application development, testing, and validation for OnePlus phones. Lin began the work without requiring the legal permits.
The scheme was covered up with a complex network of companies. In 2014, a βHong Kong OnePlus Companyβ was established in Hong Kong , and a year later, a subsidiary in Taiwan. The company was later renamed "Sonar Consulting" and finally a branch called "Taiwan Sonar" , headed by a woman named Cheng
Between August 2015 and January 2021, the Shenzhen OnePlus company transferred ~ 72.9 million US$, dollars, to the Taiwanese unit through intermediaries operating in Hong Kong, such as "Hong Kong Dasheng International Trading Company" .
The money was disguised as, for example, "revenue from the sale of research results", but in reality it was used for salaries of illegally recruited employees and development costs.
Both have now been formally charged. Meanwhile, OnePlus founder and OPPO CEO Pete Lau has been placed on a WANTED LIST as he is suspected of being the mastermind and executor of the entire operation.
