Researchers at CodeRabbit analyzed 470 GitHub pull requests and found that AI-generated code contained 1.7 times more significant defects and 1.4 times more critical issues than hand-written code. On average, AI submissions included 10.83 issues, compared to 6.45 in manual contributions. AI code also showed higher rates of logical errors, security vulnerabilities, and performance problems, including a 2.74-fold increase in cross-site scripting risks.
Other studies support these findings. Cortex reported a 20% rise in pull requests per developer with AI use, but also a 23.5% increase in issues and a 30% higher rejection rate. The University of Naples noted AI code tends to be simpler but includes unused constructs. METR found AI slowed task completion despite usersβ belief in faster work. Monash University observed that GPT-4 produces more complex, test-performant code that requires additional maintenance effort.

A leaked build of Microsoftβs canceled Andromeda OS now runs on the Surface Duo, offering the first actual look at the companyβs dual-screen Windows vision. Designed as a successor to Windows Phone, Andromeda treated the home screen as a digital notebook and supported pen input. Users accessed the Start menu and Cortana through edge-swipe gestures, and apps opened on the left screen by default but could move to the right via drag-and-drop.
Developer Gustave Monce ported the unfinished operating system into an installable FFU file. The build remains unstable, with nonfunctional posture detection and sleep features. Installation erases all Android user data, even in dual-boot setups. This release provides insight into Microsoftβs 2016β2018 strategy to position Windows Phone in a new hardware category before the company abandoned the effort. As you know, Surface Duo was released with Android.

Xiaomi Latest HyperOS 3 Update: Voice Calls Are Now Considered Bloatware
With the latest HyperOS 3 update of the flagship 800$ Poco F7 Ultra and Poco F8 Pro, Xiaomi decided that "hearing the other person" during a call was bloatware, so they optimized it.
That being said, only Xiaomi could engineer a "communications device" that blocks communication. Whether itβs your boss, your partner, or an emergency service, Xiaomi ensures you enjoy absolute peace and quiet by routing all incoming voice data directly into a black hole.

ASUS Announced Product Price Adjustment
Throughout 2025, the global PC and infrastructure market experienced recovery driven by AI application deployment needs. However, impacted by ongoing global supply chain fluctuations, multiple component costs have faced sustained upward pressure β especially memory (DRAM) and new-generation storage components (NAND / SSD). In addition, manufacturing-related operational costs and long-term depreciation continue to rise. These trends have posed challenges to cost control for the entire industry.
After evaluating market conditions, supply-chain input cost increases, and performance requirements, ASUS has determined the need to adjust the prices of certain product portfolios. The price adjustment will take effect starting January 5, 2026. This adjustment is necessary to absorb long-term rising input and logistics costs and to maintain stable product quality and service levels.

Itβs been a long time, guys, but here I am with some free ki advice. Never buy a Xiaomi device. Especially POCO.
I bought a brand new POCO F7. After just one month of use and updating to the November security patch, my network started fluctuating. Airtel was stuck on 2G, yes 2G in 2024 lol, and indoors the phone worked only because of VoWiFi.
I took it to the service centre. They flashed the stock ROM and confidently said, you are good to go. Spoiler, I was not.
I gave it back again. Long story short, they kept my phone for almost a month. To be fair, the service centre staff were very professional with good communication. In fact, even they said, do not buy POCO.
They showed me the internals and it turned out the seal was already broken. Surprise. The new phone I bought online was actually refurbished. The seller did not even bother resealing it. One screw was a different colour, just to add character. They confirmed it was previously opened.
The service centre asked the company to send a replacement part, but for almost one month the company kept sending refurbished parts and motherboard.
After going back and forth, even the service centre got fed up and pushed the company harder. Finally, the company sent a fresh new motherboard and my phone magically revived.
They charged me 2000 rupees for warranty extension. I did not mind. I know they have targets to meet and honestly they helped me a lot. They even opened the device in front of me and I personally saw the broken seal.
But yeah, that was my last Xiaomi device. Ever.
