Here is Apple's Airdrop feature transferring files from the iPhone to Android natively

This means Google made it a 2-way communication, Airdrop works from Android to iPhone and vice-versa both ways.

Additionally, Google also clarified that they did not take Apple's help in making the quick share work cross-platform with the iOS and it is still end-to-end encrypted.

So its about time when Apple blocks their Airdrop from working with Android citing non-sense reasons to lock people in their ecosystem.
