The OnePlus Nord 5 is a rebranded version of the Ace 5 Ultra Edition from China, but the global and Indian versions have many downgrades. These include:

(The D9400 plus is latest flagship SoC and is 2X time more powerful than the SD 8s gen 3)

China: UFS 4.0
India/ Global: UFS 3.1

3. Battery
Ace 5 Ultra: 6700mAh Si/C battery (dual-cell)
India: 6800mAh Li-ion (single-cell)
Global: 5200mAh Li-ion (single-cell)

4. Charging
China: 100W fast charging
India/ Global: 80W

Upgrades from the Ace 5 Ultra: Front camera
China: 16MP (NO AF)
India/ Global: 50MP (AF)

If you feel that's enough, well, Nord 5 is even downgraded than the Nord 4.

Nord 5: UFS 3.1

What's worse is that, OnePlus blamed consumers for using plastic frame on Nord 5, claiming consumers voted for plastic in their survey. Even after this many downgrades, the Ace 5 Ultra still costs 100$ less in China compared to India/ Global pricing.

• 12GB+256GB= 2499 CNY (~345$)
• 12GB+512GB= 2999 CNY (~415$)

India/ Global:
• 8GB+256GB= Rs. 32,000/ €449/£399
• 12GB+256GB= Rs. 35,000
• 12GB+512GB= Rs. 38,000/ €499/£449
