Seems like an end of GrapheneOS because:
1. They still don't have access to the Android Partner access
2. Google has stopped releasing device trees for Google Pixels with the Android 16 stable release. Additionally, Hardware Google Graphics is also closed now.

Android used to be a playground for power users. Now itβs a locked-down joke. Unlock the bootloader and apps break, features vanish, and you're treated like malware. No oneβs getting hacked because of this itβs just bad engineering and anti-user policy.
UX gets worse every year. Bloat, ads, broken updates and no way to fix it.
Rooting? Bootloader unlock? Penalized.
Weβre not users just revenue streams trapped in locked hardware.
OEMs canβt ship working software, and theyβve stopped pretending to care.

So this explains why Google didn't release device trees for Pixels and closed source other repositories too like Hardware Google Graphics with Android 16 release. Android will soon be over by next year π₯

Hey, guys⦠I didn't want to disclose this, but my life is in danger right now.
The last couple of months I have been trying day and night to shake some money offAdfoc.us& DevUploads. I hoped this would finally pay off the effort put in the channel; I generated ~33$ onAdfoc.usand 10$ on DevUploads β this small reward felt like a spark of light! Or so I thoughtβ¦Adfoc.usstole my money.
When the moment came, I requested money withdrawal, and never received my money. It has been over a week.
In panic, I rushed to their forum β it was dead, full of bots. I tried to reach the support β deathly silence.
This is the endβ¦
I am devastated right now. I have no one close to help. My family lives in a rented house, and we can lose itβ¦
Nov , 2022 β me & my father got into a terrible car accident, and luckily we both survivedβ¦ but because of the injuries the doctor suggested him long bed rest . I left my college to help provide for my family and buy medicines for my dad. But without a finished degree no employers needed me β that is why I made the hard decision of monetising my channel contentβ¦
Things have been tolerable from 2023 to ~2024, but the situation began growing horrible in October 2024 β my revenue was getting smaller and smaller, and the content harder to makeβ¦
It's embarrassing to be telling you all this, but this situation is mentally destroying meβ¦
I am left with a few bucks in my pocket, not sure how I will live to see even next month without any hope. All work burned to ashes.
Thanks everyone who clicked the links β you were the one who brought bread to my table. I hope you never miss the light in this world; take care.
Farewellβ¦ π₯π―οΈ

Unlike my previous project, kaeru, this is a legit exploit that probably affects a bunch of newer MediaTek SoCs (even though I've only tested this with Pacman for now).
I'm still working on a PoC that should let you do pretty much whatever you want (similar to what kaeru can do right now) at the bootloader level.
That includes things like disabling boot warnings, adding your own custom fastboot commands, or even faking the TEE lock state on devices where kaeru can't be used.
More details coming soon, hopefully.

Mozilla Discontinues Pocket, Fakespot, Deep Fake Detector, and Orbit
Around last week, Mozilla announced that Pocket, the read-it-later service, will shut down on July 8, 2025, with article deletion by October 8. Fakespot, which detects fake product reviews, is also being sunsetted.
Now, the Deep Fake Detector Firefox extension, designed to identify AI-generated text, has a shutdown notice for June 26, 2025. Mozilla's privacy-focused AI experiment, Orbit, is also being discontinued by June 26. Orbit's private, self-contained setup can be replaced with the new sidebar built directly into Firefox.

Since many people said "omg android is over now the only option is postmarketos" so I decided to try postmarketOS on my Redmi Note 6 Pro (tulip), let's see how it goes.
According to the features in the website, postmarketOS is indeed very usable on this phone though.
Can't wait to try out the Android replacement π₯°

AOSP is not going away
Seang Chau, VP and GM, Android Platform has posted on X saying that AOSP is not going anywhere, and that it was built on a foundation of "being an open platform for device implementations, SoC vendors, and instruction set architectures."
However, he has not said anything about why Pixel device trees have not been released.

Final update: Got it working on Mi A1 (Tissot)
Yeah, so instead of flashing it on tulip, I decided to flash it on tissot instead which has a slight issue: a little bit of ghost touch at the very bottom of the screen. The ghost touch is kinda ignorable since its not on the center or any other main area.
Talking about postmarketOS, yeah I don't think it's really that great for this device: keeps lagging, rendering issues, etc. Is it because I'm using GNOME mobile? I have no idea. But i won't really prefer daily driving this on my Tissot.
This doesn't mean postmarketOS is bad, it works great for some phones, but it'll take a really long time to optimise it for all devices and become an alternative of Android.
But yeah, no more updates on postmarketOS from my side, I'm installing LineageOS on this phone.
