361 million account credentials leaked on Telegram
A researcher found 122GB of data from 1.7k files on Telegram, containing 361M unique email addresses, with 151M new to Have I Been Pwned.
The data was sourced from 518 different channels and amounted to 1,748 separate files. This data, primarily "combolists" of email-password pairs, is used in credential stuffing attacks.
Troy Hunt verified the data through various methods, including website enumeration. Users also confirmed the accuracy of their information.

iPhone 16 series to have world's thinnest bezels on a smartphone
Although the iPhone 16 series won't be a major upgrade, the iPhone 16 and 16 Plus will atleast get a redesigned camera module and the pro models would have larger screen size with thinner bezels
Display Sizes
iPhone 16: 6.1-inch
16 Plus: 6.7-inch
16 Pro: 6.3-inch
16 Pro Max: 6.9-inches
Bezels
iPhone 16 Pro: 1.2mm
15 Pro: 1.71mm
iPhone 16 Pro Max: 1.15mm
15 Pro max: 1.55mm
So, the screen border on the iPhone 16 Pro is 1.2 mm (down from 1.71 mm), which is a 30% reduction.
Meanwhile, the border on the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max is 1.15 mm (down from 1.55 mm), which is a 26% reduction
With the iPhone 15 Pro models, Apple reduced the screen border using low-injection pressure over-molding, or LIPO. This year, Apple is said to be using Border Reduction Structure (BRS) technology, which allows for a more compact and efficient layout of the circuitry under the display, resulting in even slimmer bezels.

Corning Unveiled Gorilla Glass 7i for Midrange Smartphones
Gorilla Glass 7i is aimed at mid-rangers and more affordable phones. This is Corning's 7th generation glass (like Victus) and the βiβ stands for βindustry-leading innovation for intermediate devicesβ.
Corning claims it can survive drops from up to 1m (3.3ft) onto rough surfaces like asphalt, while comparable glass alternatives can only go half as high before breaking.
Additionally, 7i is said to be 2X more scratch-resistant (or better) than those competing glasses.
Corning introduced Gorilla Glass 7i because it's 2024 & many smartphones such as Nothing Phone 2a or Poco F6 Pro still use Gorilla Glass 5 which was launched in 2016. Pixel 8a even uses Gorilla Glass 3 launched in 2013.
Thus, there was a need for a more modern offering, which is more affordable than Victus, while still matching the latest trend

Windows 11 AI 'Recall' Feature a Privacy & Security Nightmare
Last month, Microsoft announced the upcoming launch of Copilot+ Windows PCs with integrated AI hardware and software. One of the features is 'Recall', a tool that's designed to take regular snapshots of PC content to help users find anything they've seen or done on their machine.
Recall takes screenshots every 5 seconds when the content on the screen is different from the prior snapshot and stores the snapshots in a timeline, with AI software using OCR to make the text in the snapshots searchable
However, security researchers are calling Recall a privacy & security nightmare for Windows 11 users.
That's because this SQLite3 database file has a record of everything youβve ever viewed on your PC in 'plain text' & it's NOT even unencrypted.
The recall feature can even take screenshots while you are entering sensitive info like passwords on websites, your personal messages etc & this sensitive info is NOT even redacted either.
Microsoft claims that a 'hacker' cannot exfiltrate Recall activity remotely. However, security researchers have found out that the database is accessible from the AppData folder even if youβre NOT an admin on a PC.
Microsoft has bydefault turned ON the recall feature on Copilot Plus PCs.
Alex Hagenah, a cybersecurity strategist and ethical hacker, has released a demo tool, dubbed TotalRecall and it can automatically extract and display everything Recall records on a laptop.
TotalRecall can automatically work out where the Recall database is on a laptop and then make a copy of the file, parsing all the data as it does so since the data is all plain text & unencrypted
Although the recall is only available for ARM 64 CPUs, you can emulate it if you want to try the recall feature & can see screenshots of the Recall SQLite3 database over here

Apple finally confirms how long it will support iPhones
Apple has confirmed it will provide security updates for iPhones for a minimum of 5 years, following the UKβs PSTI regulation. This is Apple's first official commitment to a support period, starting with the iPhone 15 series. However, this five-year period is less than the seven years guaranteed by Samsung and Google for their flagship devices.
Historically, Apple has often provided updates for longer than five years. This change means Apple no longer offers the longest guaranteed support in the industry. Users will need to hope Apple doesn't cut off support after the five-year minimum.

Xiaomi Plans on Kanging iOS Recent Style
Chinese brands like Huawei, Xiaomi and BBK are competing with each other on becoming the 'World's First Android Brand with 1:1 iOS Kanged UI'
Oppo has recently kanged volume bars even from iOS & added it in OnePlus and Realme smartphones
Xiaomi has already kanged many stuff from iOS, for eg the QS styles. At that time, Xiaomi did NOT ask users's opinion about iOS kanged QS styles
Now to show 'fake' sympathy towards its users, Xiaomi is running a survey asking users to chose between iOS recent styles, horizontal or the vertical style
Although the survey is about recent styles, but Xiaomi is also asking users about:
β’ Your Age
β’ Your Country
β’ Current & last smartphone

Xiaomi has already kanged many stuff from iOS, for eg the QS styles. At that time, Xiaomi did NOT ask users's opinion about iOS kanged QS styles
Now to show 'fake' sympathy towards its users, Xiaomi is running a survey asking users to chose between iOS recent styles, horizontal or the vertical style
Although the survey is about recent styles, but Xiaomi is also asking users about:
β’ Your Age
β’ Your Country
β’ Current & last smartphone
