LAVA Mobile's source code and database has been leaked!
Someone anonymous has leaked LAVA Mobile's source code and database, which includes:
- A device and vendor tree of hammerhead (Nexus 5)
- Source code of apps
- Framework repositories
- LAVA BPMS (which looks like their admin site, and the database includes the details of employees and distributors, some internal excel files, etc.)
- and more
We do not know who has leaked this, and we will not share this leak to anyone, at all.
The images of the folder names have been attached.
This really looks like some precious internal data, which should never have been leaked. Looks like LAVA has some really bad privacy measures to protect their data, and the database is not encrypted as well.

Apple's M4 iPad Pros have an Extra 4GB RAM Doing Nothing
Source
The M4 iPad Pro was released in two models, 8GB RAM, 256GB/512GB storage model with a 9-core CPU & 1TB/2TB storage variant with a 10-core CPU & 16GB RAM
During the teardown, the condensed FBGA codes for Micron's RAM modules are clearly seen, revealing the exact chips Apple used for their iPads.
Surprisingly, the 8GB model has two 48Gbit modules onboard. 48Gb converts to 6GB, meaning the 9-core CPU iPad Pro model has 12GB of RAM available from its RAM module.
But the iPad Pro has only 8GB RAM for use.
Apple giving a 9-core CPU could be explained by the theory that Apple might be offering worse binned chips in the lower models of the iPad Pro
For the extra 4GB RAM, Apple could be artificially limiting the performance of these modules for product segmenting, keeping a traditional 8GB or 16GB RAM division b/w iPad Pro models
Thus, Apple has 4GB unused RAM sitting on its logic boards doing absolutely NOTHING

Windows 11 IoT LTSC 2024 has been released to manufacturers!
The 2024 edition of Windows 11 LTSC has finally dropped. As always, this version is extremely lightweight and smooth. I've been running it on my PC since yesterday. The experience has been decent, it consumes only 2.9/32gb RAM with 1% CPU usage on idle.
An interesting thing to note here is the fact that Paint and Calculator are in their legacy Windows 7 versions. By default, you can make a local account without disconnecting from the internet and as always, Microsoft Store is not installed.
Overall, for those who do not like to use mods on their system, this is definitely the choice to go for.

Samsung showcased World's First QD-LED at SID Display week 2024
Samsung Display showcased its latest OLED displays and technologies at SID Display week 2024 that includes an Ultra-Thin AMOLED, two tandem-stack OLEDs, a 1.03-inch microdisplay OLEDoS display for XR headsets & the world's first QD-LED Display
Unlike QD-OLED Display, the QD-LED lacks the organic material that makes QD-OLED (and all other OLED) panels susceptible to burn-in issues, aging and limited brightness.
QD-LED panels feature pixels made using semiconductor material, and they can create RGB colors and backlight.
So, in theory, it is like OLED and Micro LED panels, but it lacks organic material that is susceptible to damage in the long run.
According to Samsung Display, QD-LED panels can accurately reproduce a wide color gamut & the manufacturing of the panels is easier through inkjet printing
QD-LED panels use cadmium-free quantum dots, which are great for the environment.

Display Manufacturers are experimenting with different refresh rate to save battery life
Some display manufacturers are creating displays with variable refresh rate such that the status bar would run at 30Hz refresh rate to save battery life while the remaining display could run at a higher 120Hz
Visionox is calling this tech as Inteligent Technology & it can also cut the IC power by upto 20% to conserve battery

Google Play Store begins highlighting apps that let you delete your account
Google Play Store has begun surfacing the βAccount deletion availableβ badge in the Data Safety section within the App listings.
Since December 2023, Google has been pushing developers to include information about app account deletion in their store listings. Developers can request an extension until May 31, 2024, after which non-compliant apps may face "additional enforcement actions" in the future, such as removal from the Google Play Store.

A Mesa Vulkan driver for Mali GPU is Coming
Source
A Mesa Vulkan driver for Mali (Valhall 3 or later) is coming next month
"The Panfrost team received the source code and technical support for the latest architecture GPU provided by ARM as early as October last year and is developing a mesa-vulkan driver with very good compatibility. OpenGL and GLES are already supported, and it is very efficient."
"The OpenGL performance of this driver has been tested on the Ubuntu 22.04 system, with more than 40 frames for group play on the Warcraft 3 map, and more than 20 frames for the ARM version of yuzu Tears of the Kingdom on Linux."
(tested on MediaTek Dimensity 8100)
"One thing achieved with the new architecture and Arm's closer support is these core Vulkan drivers. These modern GPUs are natively architected for Vulkan, making it easier to support modern high-performance workloads with Vulkan."
Thus the emulation performance would be greatly improved on Mali-GPUs on Android
