Honor filed for the patent way back in May 2022 and was authorised by the China National Intellectual Property Administration on May 24th, 2024.
The images in the patent listing show the phone will have a clamshell design, similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip lineup and the Motorola Razr.
Flipping the phone to the back, you see a large cover screen on the top portion, with a pill-shaped camera module on the top-left corner

ASUS has teased the successor to its ROG Ally handheld, named the ROG Ally X which will launch on 2nd June
The Ally X updated design keeps the Ryzen Z1 Extreme APU with 8 Zen4 cores and 12 RDNA3 Compute Units same as ROG Ally
The 7-inch FHD+ screen with 120Hz refresh rate screen remains the same, but the battery has been doubled.
Ally X gets 80Wh battery, up from 40Wh in ROG Ally
The new design also includes a “Precision D-Pad” rated for 5 million cycles.
For cooling, ASUS has upgraded the fan to be 23% smaller with 50% thinner fans. Yet it will be more efficient with 10% improved airflow.
The port for the external GPU, previously ROG XG Mobile, has been upgraded to USB-4 Type-C.
The Handheld will run on Windows 11 & Asus will upgrade its Armoury Crate SE software to version 1.5
Other upgrades include:
• 24GB LPDDR5X RAM (7500MHz)
• 1TB SSD
• Slightly heavier at 678g
• 36.9mm in thickness

Google now lets you beg your friends to buy a Play Store app for you
This button generates a payment link that a user can send to someone else to have them complete a purchase on the user’s behalf. The user who taps the button is warned that the person who’s paying has to know their full email address, can see the item that’s being purchased, and that the payer has 24 hours to complete the purchase before the payment link expires.
The app developers don’t have to do any additional work to support Google Play’s new “ask someone else to pay for this item” button.

Samsung Electronics has begun development of a 2nm mobile Application Processor (AP).
It is a development project named ‘Thetis ’ (development code name) & it is planned to be released under its own brand, Exynos AP. Thus, the Exynos 2600
Tethys is expected to be mass-produced in the H2, 2025 and equipped in Samsung 'Galaxy S26', which will be released in 2026.
Apple is also expected to install a 2nm AP in the iPhone 17 which will be A19 chipset
Qualcomm is currently working on a 2nm project weighing both TSMC and Samsung Foundry as mass production candidates.
Thus, Exynos 2600 is codenamed as 'Thetis' & the corresponding part number is 'S5E9965'.
It can also be called the 'Dream 2' chip

TSMC is one of the largest chip makers globally, even beating Intel and Samsung by revenue numbers.
But TSMC is based in Taiwan and China considers Taiwan its part.
Even recently, China's military has been exercising by surrounding Taiwan from all areas to fully invade and conquer Taiwan in the future and merge it with Mainland China
Just last year, U.S. Congressman Seth Moulton suggested that the U.S. might bomb TSMC facilities in Taiwan if China invaded.
However, the Taiwanese government said that it would defend the company against any form of aggression from anyone — including the United States.
Because of this threat, TSMC and ASML have added a ‘kill switch’ that will disable TSMC’s EUV machines remotely.
According to Bloomberg, ASML added this feature to assuage U.S. fears that the former’s chipmaking capabilities could fall into the wrong hands if war breaks out in East Asia.
