Xiaomi India Uses a Samsung Smartphone πŸ’€

Xiaomi India's Twitter handle posted a screen recording showcasing their partnership with Swiggy

However, the screen recording that Xiaomi India posted from their own smartphone shows they are using a Samsung smartphone instead of a Xiaomi LMFAO

It is a legit Samsung phone as the battery icon & percentage are different in Xiaomi even if themed.
Also, it's old or maybe a budget Samsung phone πŸ’€ as the screenshot is in a 20:9 ratio & nowadays Samsung uses 19.5:9 even for Galaxy A54

Xiaomi India has now deleted their Swiggy Partnership tweet after being caught in 4K and getting trolled on Twitter for the same

We have seen brands like OnePlus, Samsung, and Google tweeting/posting from their iPhones which is pretty common but Xiaomi uses a Samsung budget phone

Even Xiaomi employees especially
of their main Twitter account refrain from using a Xiaomi smartphone.
How embarrassing Xiaomi πŸ˜πŸ˜‚

OnePlus Ace 3V in China will launch globally as OnePlus Nord 4 or OnePlus Nord 5

It is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 (SM-7675) SoC which is again worst binned version of Snapdragon 8+ Gen 3 but is capable of production

Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3:
1x Cortex-X4 @ 2.80GHz
4x A720 @ 2.61GHz
3x A520 @ 1.90GHz

GPU: Adreno 732

GeekBench 6 Scores
Single-core:
1853

Meet Carl Pei! An unprofessional CEO
YouTube

To increase the hype for his Phone 2a, Carl Pei is now comparing it with other smartphones like Vivo V29e, Note 13 Pro, Realme 12 Pro and OnePLus Nord CE3 just to brainwash people into thinking Phone 2a is the BEST

Phone like Motorola Edge 40 Neo which even have IP68 rating & 144Hz refresh rate or the Poco X6 Pro which has Dimensity 8300-Ultra SoC, LPDDR5 and UFS 4.0 storage unlike Phone 2a with UFS 2.2 storage were NOT taken into consideration

So he very cleverly chose only those smartphone which are inferior

His comparison was also 'biased' as Redmi Note 13 Pro has 5100mAh battery but it was rejected because the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC was made on Samsung Foundry

Phone 2a is priced pretty well only because Phone 2 has very bad/less sales

Like, If you are confident of you product, there is NO need to compare it with others
Even Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun does NOT practices these 'Twitter tech sentiments' unlike Carl Pei

Indian Government Permission will be Required for Deploying AI models Publicly

India's Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) issued an advisory noting that AI & LLM models including software using generative AI or any algorithms that are currently being tested, are in the beta stage of development must seek β€œexplicit permission of the government of India” before being deployed for users on the Indian internet

A popup should inform users of potential defects or errors produced by AI, and to inform users by labelling deepfakes with permanent unique metadata or other identifiers.

Platforms must ensure any LLM or other AI model product does not permit bias, discrimination, or threaten the integrity of the "electoral process"

MeitY also notes its an advisory and not a regulation.
But at the same time, MeitY is also asking permission for the same πŸ˜‚
Additionally, this advisory does NOT apply to startups

POCO X6 Neo launched in India

Specifications:
DITTO Copy of
Redmi Note 13 5G launched previously in January 2024 with exact same specifications

Even the SoC is rebranded
Powered by MediaTek Dimensity 6080 which is basically a Rebranded Dimensity 810 chip (launched in 2021)

It features a Virtual AI Proximity Sensor & 108MP main sensor with NO OIS with a 2MP useless secondary sensor

It got MONO Speakers with Dolby Atmos πŸ˜‚

Pricing:
8GB + 128GB = Rs. 16,000 (~195$)
12GB + 256GB = Rs. 18,000 (~215$)

So Xiaomi will first launch a smartphone. Xiaomi knows that their smartphone value will decrease after 2-3 months.
Thus, they will again launch the SAME smartphone through their other sub-brand at a decreased price

This will basically make people think that it is some new phone but in reality, Xiaomi just changed the back panel, the company name and called it a day

The Three R's for Xiaomi basically means β€” Recycle, Repackage, Repeat

XIAOMI= The KING of GARBAGE in the Smartphone Industry

The Latest Poco X6 Neo features Mono Speaker WITH Dolby Atmos

They basically meant to say that the device supports Dolby Atmos for headphones/Bluetooth speaker

But Xiaomi is FALSELY advertisement it being Mono Speaker with Dolby Atmos support

Dolby Atmos experience relies on multiple speakers and precise audio positioning which is NOT achievable on a device with a single mono speaker and works with stereo speakers only

UPDATE: Google told me that the IETF's ongoing work on the Device Unwanted Location Tracker (DULT) specification does NOT impact their timeline for launching the Find My Device network.

Plus, the version of the spec that Apple will be implementing in iOS is already available, so really the only thing holding back Google's Find My Device network now is Apple.

More details here.

Google is preparing to launch Offline Retail Stores in India

Alphabet is planning on introducing a Google-branded brick-and-mortar store in India to sell a gamut of Google’s products and showcase it as an experience center

In brick-and-mortar stores, consumers can speak with employees and ask questions about the products or services.
Brick-and-mortar stores can offer experience shopping whereby consumers can test a product

"A team from Google from the US was here in India last week. They comprised of four-five members senior management team from the US,"
β€œThey had visited New Delhi and Mumbai as part of their India study for the store opening and visited some malls in both the cities"

Apple introduced its own Apple-branded and operated stores last year in Mumbai and New Delhi.

Now, Google is also looking at New Delhi and Mumbai as possible locations for its first store in India.

Google I/O 2024 holding on May 14
The event was teased with a puzzle, and later announced to the public after getting solved, but no details were provided. Here's some rough estimation according to past events, though everyone should take this information with a grain of salt.

It's likely that we would get the new Pixel 8a, alongside some previews of the new features in Android 15 that are yet to be added. There might also be some new updates for the existing Google products that we all know well.
