A patent troll seems to be suing Apple for infringing their patents in iPhones, AirPods Pro, iPads and HomePods.
Since that, Apple has been silently doing stuff in the background to defend themselves in the lawsuit, like changing the ANC algorithm in AirPods Pro and Max or removing microphone noise cancellation from their phones.

A new EU law could force Apple to allow other app stores, sideloading and iMessage on other platforms

There has been a new law called Digital Markets Act (DMA) that could change the ways the App Store, Siri, FaceTime, iMessages work by letting users use third party stores, sideload apps, use third party payment systems and make messaging, voice and video calling services inoperatable. This means that other companies could request to work with iMessage and Apple being forced to do so in the EU.
The law will start to apply on 2nd of May 2023 with companies having to inform if they had met the criteria of DMA until the 3rd of July 2023.
