Google Pixel 9 series will be powered by Google Tensor G4
Earlier it was reported that Tensor G4 was meant to be Google's fully designed chip codenamed "Redondo" manufactured by TSMC, but unfortunately it got delayed by 1yr as the Tensor team missed the 2022 deadline
So, now Tensor G5 will be Google's 1st fully custom designed chip that will power Google Pixel 10 series to debut in 2025
Redondo will be now used be as a testing chip.
Tensor G5 is now codenamed as "Laguna" & its development board is codenamed “Deepspace.”
Now a new chip codenamed "Zuma Pro" will debut as Tensor G4 (Tensor G3 is "Zuma") to power Google Pixel 9 series

Nothing's Kernel Mishap: When Silence Speaks Louder Than Code!
Nothing, the brainchild of Carl Pei, announced Phone 2 on 11th July. But after ~45 days of its launch, an Android developer by the name "Arter97" made a startling discovery.
Nothing did NOT release the full kernel, blocking development of a custom kernel with modules built-in
The Nothing OSS kernel code was missing essential Qualcomm kernel modules related to Camera, Video, cvp-kernel etc.
They're supposed to be open-source, thanks to GPL v2.
The dev posted about the issue on Github repo & even on Twitter.
2 weeks passed and Nothing did Nothing
Now after more than 2 months since the Phone 2's launch, Nothing replied with the classic "we're working on it, we'll update you soon" 🤓
The TWIST:
A member from the AOSPA team, contacted a person inside Nothing to resolve this issue

Pixel Watch 2 to feature Fitbit revamp, thermometer, Personal Safety upgrade and new straps

According to 9to5Google, the Pixel Watch 2 will have features first seen on the Fitbit Sense 2, like a skin temperature sensor and stress management.
There will be a new exercise UI that's more cohesive with Google's smartwatch style with larger, more glanceable elements and a more engaging display of your current heart rate.
Pixel Watch 2 will also work with the car crash detection feature on Pixel phones to display your medical information for emergency responders with full support for Emergency Sharing. The LTE model will also be able to schedule a Safety Check.
Google is also preparing to add translation back to Wear OS, likely with Google Assistant's interpreter mode.
Besides the new features, the watch will also get new straps: Metal Slim and Metal Mesh. These straps should be backwards compatible.
