Tata group to open 100 small, exclusive Apple stores in India

Exclusive Apple stores will be spread in 500-600 sq. ft each across the country. Apple is in talks with Tata-owned Infiniti Retail for the stores. These stores will only sell all Apple products.
Infiniti Retail currently sells croma products.
The Apple stores will be opened in malls as well as high-street and neighbourhood locations and will be smaller than Apple Premium Reseller stores (1,000 sq. ft)
Apple's first company-owned flagship store is likely to launch in India in the March quarter in Mumbai.

Third party app stores and USB-C are coming to iPhones

In the past, Apple has criticized sideloading as a threat to user privacy but now is preparing to allow alternative app stores on its iPhones and iPads, aimed to comply with strict European Union requirements coming in 2024.
Users will be able to download third-party software to their iPhones and iPads without using the company’s App Store, bypassing Apple's restrictions and the 30% commission it imposes on payments.
The EU has set December 28th, 2024 as the deadline for all new phones to use USB-C for wired charging.
The rules apply to all devices that offer wired charging such as tablets, digital cameras, headphones, and handheld video game consoles. Laptops will eventually be covered by the same ruling but not until April 2026.

Google has finally fixed the vulnerability that they found.
After discovering the exploit 6 months ago, the Google Pixel team has finally fixed the Mali GPU Kernel Driver issue that was found by the Project Zero team at Google.
The vulnerability, known as CVE-2022-36449, was found between June and July 2022 and was fixed by ARM in July and August 2022. However, many OEMs, including Pixel, Samsung, Xiaomi, and Oppo, have yet to address the issue.
Affected Pixel 6 and 7 series devices have been patched with an updated GPU driver in the Android 13 QPR2 Beta 1 with stable builds rolling out in March of 2023.
Google told Engadget that "The fix provided by ARM is currently undergoing testing for Android and Pixel devices and will be delivered in the coming weeks...Android OEM partners will be required to take the patch to comply with future SPL requirements."
This could mean, that Google could require OEMs (including themselves) to include this fix starting from the January 2023 security patch.
