πŸ”³ Microsoft is working on a built-in feature that would let Windows 11 switch between light and dark themes on a schedule. Code found in an Experimental Channel build suggests it may support idle-based switching and location-based scheduling.
The core of the feature is in the new file, c:\windows\system32\Windows.Shell.AutoDarkMode.dll

The following features are planned:
* A schedule.
* The themes can only switch when the PC is idle, i.e. you are not doing any work.

Moreover, the strings state that there will be conditions to prevent the device from changing the theme. Also, theme switching can be location-based.
"Schedule auto mode"
"Mode only changes when PC is idle"
"This prevents the mode from changing while you're working or in meetings"
"Turn on location services to automatically schedule dark mode. When location services are turned off, dark mode is active from [START] to [END]."

Microsoft has not announced the feature yet, but users can already achieve similar results with registry tweaks + Task Scheduler or third-party tools like Auto Dark Mode.

Apple Watch Series 12 is literally the most accurate wearable for now, followed by Pixel Watch 4 and Huawei Watch 5 overall.

Apple Watch 12 offers a currently opt-in feature that basically uploads the conversations it captures into the cloud.

I know many people are concerned about completely offline hardware trying to sense you 24/7 for something convenient that you may want. For example, Mi 17 is capable of waking up the screen when you specifically move your eyes at it, likely thanks to a low power front camera sensor mode and Qualcomm's support for that. I liked it, but it probably eats battery.

That's one thing. But *uploading* constantly sensed data from people who never gave you consent for it, especially without homomorphic encryption (that was used with Enhanced Visual Search and still managed to break people's trust when it got enabled by default in update), is simply way too much. I've seen an article from TechRadar that completely omitted the important part: it is an online feature based on servers attesting their legitimacy. For something meant to constantly listen.
