Apple Raises iPhone Prices in Japan
After raising prices on all Macs and iPads worldwide last month, Apple has now increased the price of the complete iPhone 17 series lineup and iPhone 16 in Japan. Prices have been increased by up to 11%.
New Prices
• 17 Pro Max: ¥214,800 ($1,450)
• 17 Pro: ¥194,800 ($1,315)
• Air: ¥177,800 ($1,200)
• 17: ¥142,800 ($965)
• 17e: ¥107,800 ($730)
• iPhone 16: ¥124,800 ($845)
Old Prices
• 17 Pro Max: ¥194,800 ($1,315)
• 17 Pro: ¥179,800 ($1,215)
• Air: ¥159,800 ($1,080)
• 17: ¥129,800 ($875)
• 17e: ¥99,800 ($675)
• iPhone 16: ¥114,800 ($775)
However, the increases are likely due to the Japanese yen's depreciation against the U.S. dollar over the past year. Apple did not raise iPhone prices in any other country today.

Xiaomi 18 series will debut in December in India
Xiaomi will launch its flagship 18 series three months earlier this time in India. Instead of March 2027, it will debut in December 2026.
Since Xiaomi 18 Ultra is cancelled, the 18 Pro/Pro Max will debut globally this time. However, in India these models will launch in limited quantities similar to the Ultra.
This also makes the Xiaomi 18 Pro/ Max the world's first smartphone with a secondary display available globally.

Always trust your calculators
The reason behind this calculation is that in most Chinese ROMs, the % operator is not interpreted as a percentage of the last number (for example, 10% of 100), but as n/100. This means that calc in CN ROMs calculates as 100-(10/100) = 100 - 0.1 = 99.9
Basically, it's mostly a difference between Casio-style and TI-Style.
20% in Casio style is 20 percent of the preceding number (literal) while in TI, percentage is divided by 100. So, the calculator in CN ROMs treated percentage as pure unary operator.

Google makes Android backups count against account storage
Effective in 45 days, all Android devices backups including SMS messages, call history device settings and app settings will now count towards your Google Account storage.
If the account exceeds its storage limit after the change, automatic Android backups will pause until the storage is freed up or the plan is upgraded.
