RIP OxygenOS and RealmeUI
OnePlus announced on its community app that as part of an operational adjustment to its software strategy, following the official release of ColorOS 17, users with existing OnePlus devices that fall within the eligible upgrade scope will have the option to voluntarily update to the latest ColorOS. Legacy models that are not eligible for this specific upgrade will continue to receive software maintenance.
The FAQ section notes that:
Q: Can users choose not to switch to ColorOS? If they are not satisfied after switching, can they roll back?
A: OnePlus users will be able to choose whether to update to the latest ColorOS system. If users update to ColorOS, they will have the option to roll back to OxygenOS. The specific rollback versions available will be subject to future official announcements.

the fact that they're providing rollback options indirectly implies they're getting rid of bootloader unlock to me

FYI, Google Play Store now allows you to check Play Integrity of your connected devices such as your WearOS watch, Android Automotive OS and Android TV devices from your primary device.
Primary phone and the target device, such as a watch, car, or TV, needs to be signed in to the same Google Account with an active internet connection.

You can now run a browser inside a browser
The devs at Puter Labs have compiled the Gecko engine to WebAssembly so that Firefox can be loaded inside another browser.
The whole Firefox browser is rendering to a <canvas> element. It is fully end to end encrypted. The WISP protocol is used for TCP-over-websockets.
This port cost over 25k in opus/fable tokens for debugging and JIT research.

Has anyone faced this issue where Google cancelled your 18-month AI Pro Plan Gemini offer that comes FREE with the Jio 5G unlimited recharge, claiming it has ended when it hasn't?
Even the My Jio app shows the subscription is still active.

Five years later and this is still broken. Honestly, how? π³οΈβπ
Weβre using a simple naming scheme: βCompany XYZ | Firstname Lastnameβ. Completely normal in a corporate environment. And yet in To Do, every single person just shows up asβ¦ βCβ.
So we are all just a wall of Blue circles with the letter C inside. So now, if you check who got which task, its a guessing game or just requires a click more.
3/5 people that need the To Do to work properly have a profile photo, so you would expect the profile photos to show up. Itβs ridiculous.
They show up fine in Teams, Outlook, everywhere else. Just not in To Do. Apparently thatβs where they go to fucking die.
At this point itβs not even a bug anymore, itβs justβ¦ part of the product. Like yeah, To Do helps you organize tasks, but identifying people? Thatβs on you.
I genuinely donβt get how something this visible survives for five years. This isnβt some edge case buried three menus deep β itβs literally the main UI.
Great productivity boost Microsoft, thank you.
