With WORKDIR, we can set a working directory for the docker image. Here it has been set to /root.
Eg: WORKDIR /root

What is ENTRYPOINT & CMD in Docker File?
ENTRYPOINT & CMD are both used to define an executable that should run once docker is up.
On ENTRYPOINT, we define an executable & with CMD, we define additional parameters that are required for ENTRYPOINT.
Like here, we have used ping with ENTRYPOINT but it requires an additional parameter, which we provided with CMD.
CMD: Can be overwritten | ENTRYPOINT: Can't be overwritten

This registry is Docker Hub. Users can pick up images from Docker Hub and use them to create customized images and containers.
Currently, the Docker Hub is the world’s largest public repository of image containers.

Docker Compose is a YAML file which contains details about the services, networks, and volumes for setting up the Docker application.
So, you can use Docker Compose to create separate containers, host them and get them to communicate with each other.

What is the difference between Maven, Ant, and Jenkins?
Answer: Maven vs Jenkins:
Maven is a build tool like Ant. It consists of a pom.xml file which is specified in Jenkins to
run the code. Whereas, Jenkins is used as a continuous integration tool and automates the
deployment process. The reports of the builds can be used to set a mark for continuous
delivery as well.

Mavan
it is a Build Automation Tool.
Defines how the software is built and describes the software dependencies.
Supports projects written in C#, Ruby
Executes Unit Tests as a part of the normal build cycle.

Ant
Java Library/Command Line Tool.
Drives build process.
Supports projects written in C and C++.
Supports single file execution introduced with Java II.

Jenkins
Continuous Integration Tool.
Automates the software development pwith Continuous Integration and facilitContinuous Deliver.
