2. Design and the Overall Visuals
This time, vivo has made everything look neat, consistent, and visually appealing.
There are several changes
for example:
- More diverse customisation tools, including the new wallpaper options
- More well-rounded visual effects and animations across the entire system
- The notification bar has a new stacked layout and they've changed how notifications from the same app look like
- Two control centre options: conventional style (merged) and separated
- New font option: vivo Sans
- Redesigned volume control bar

OriginOS 6 brings a more diverse set of customisation tools.
- wallpaper/theme options.
There are 16 new themes that you can choose from, divided into 5 different categories.
10 of them are moving wallpapers, with four of them being the new Flip Card themes.
You can customise those flip card themes with a video (max 5 secs) or a combination of up to 4 photos.
When choosing a set of photos, you can choose between four different visual effects to appear when you tilt the phone around.
When using a flip card theme, you can tilt your phone left and right to see the video moving around.
Aside from that, vivo also brought several new visual effects to the system UI, including:
- More advanced dynamic effects options
- new fingerprint recognition animation
- new charging animation & USB insertion animation
- Origin Island animations (we'll get to that later)
There might be some other customisation changes here, but those are the most prominent ones.
