Intel introduced Wildcat Lake at CES 2026
Intel introduced Wildcat Lake at CES 2026. It is part of Intel’s Core Ultra 300 series and serves as the entry-level SoC under the Panther Lake family. It is designed for budget laptops, Chromebooks, mini-PCs, and embedded devices, replacing the older Alder Lake-N lineup.

Wildcat Lake focuses on low power use and everyday performance. It comes with 6 cores in total, made up of 2 performance cores for heavier tasks and 4 low-power cores for background work. Power usage is expected to be around 9–25W, which fits thin, compact, and quiet devices.
The chip includes basic on-device AI support. It has a built-in NPU, and together with the GPU it delivers around 40 TOPS of AI performance. This is meant for simple AI features like voice processing or light local AI tasks, not advanced AI workloads.
Graphics are Xe3-based low-power graphics. There is no ray tracing support, and it is not meant for gaming. The focus is on smooth display output and video playback
Wildcat Lake supports DDR5 and LPDDR5X memory, along with PCIe 4.0 and Thunderbolt 4 for modern connectivity. It is manufactured on Intel’s 18A process, which helps improve power efficiency compared to previous entry-level chips.
Announced at CES 2026, and devices using Wildcat Lake are expected to launch during 2026.

Key points:
- Noticeably better than DLSS 4: fewer artifacts, sharper image quality;
- Can now be enabled even in games without native DLSS support;
- Available on RTX 20–50 series GPUs, with the best results on RTX 40 and 50;
- Already available via the beta version of the NVIDIA app;
- Full release scheduled for January 13.
And there's more coming this spring for RTX 50-series cards:
- Updated frame generation in DLSS 4.5 will support up to 5 AI-generated frames (DLSS 4 capped at 3);
- The goal is ultra-smooth 4K gaming at 240 Hz;
- A new Dynamic Frame Generation mode will add fewer frames in simple scenes and more in demanding ones to keep FPS stable.
